Name Opinion & Class Summary
The clip A day of glass really impressed me about the future of touch but it also likes a double edge sword. One side it will really enhancing our life through touch, another side is it will form the future like Wall-E. The video want to show too much that reduces its value for me. Concisely, the development of touch panel technology should not only making an easier life but also encouraging people to be more active-healthy and still maintain the comfort of living. Another future of technology trends is the cloud computing. Cloud computing also offers an easier collaboration, since it can be accessed anytime and anywhere. With a lot of advantages and conveniences, cloud computing still need to beware about the availability of the services, the ownership of the data, the privacy of the information, and the security of the whole documents. Predicting the future of technology, even over just a few years, is mind-numbingly difficult. Like what Ken Olsen (founder of DEC) said. May be it was wrong if we saw from the history. But if I see on another point of view, it was a low-cost method to promote his product on its time. Moreover if we compare for nowadays and future of technology, I think he is so true now; there is no reason for any individual have computer in his home; since we all now staring on the tablet, the smart-phone, smart appliances with embedded operating system. I was very impressed with the first video, day of glass which provide all the convenience. Basically the idea is very simple, its like the other normal glass but the interesting thing is that people try to provide value added on that glass so it become more valuable. The other interesting part is although that glass is very interesting, but it also provide the danger as well. For example if we use it when we drive a car, it will be dangerous. The useful things if we use it at the wrong place and the wrong time can turn into the opposite. And the last thing is that, even the big people can make their mistake about predicting the future trend. The sometimes they make their own limit, but if we do the flash back, they do many misses forecast.

The one thing that was stick to my mind from last class is the first video about how touch technology can be so hi-tech. I think such technology is no longer far away from us. Its ready to implement to our live in few years later. But, I think every things in the world have their positive effect and also negative effect. If we can utilize it wisely, it will help out in our activity. But in other hand, it would be harm our self. Hendry Lukito (M10101830) The second thing that I totally agree from last class is the evolvement of business nowadays. In Indonesia, many people is starting their own online business using internet. They sell clothes, shoes, toys, etc through internet from a PC or even from their Blackberry. Their customer not only just from the same city but spread out in all over cities in Indonesia. That fact shows that business is already change and if we can catch with it, we will lose even before we start. Now, technology is becoming precious part of our life that we can not live without it. I think the progress of IT industry will increase significantly. I think many innovations that not ready with todays mass product will be next generation technology. I believe this can be a future trend that unpredictable to handle. Therefore, I think internet and technology become everyones idea business. And I think when the product not in mass product, this is possible to keep it until it is useful to keep the next generation product. IT is leading and promising Trend now and the future. How to manage, use technology and market it to the people will give benefit. Because sometime good technology cannot guarantee become good product and sometimes the cost of technology can become negative impact in humans life. Beside utilize IT; we need to be more cooperative to work together with other. Vania Utami (M10109812) From Erics presentation, we know that Now Touch Industry has overcapacity in supply and the technology of Touch will always grow in the future while the important material of Touch Technology which is ITO become more rare and be monopolized by one company. So is it possible to recycle the unused product and use it as material for the future product? The Touch Solution in Life video by Corning made me realized how beautiful the technology is right now. I cant imagine how easy our future life will be. But, I am still wondering about health issues with the high technology life. If people could not balancing their easy life, they will trapped by high technology. At the end, they could not life a happy life as their wish. What I have got from last Lesson (Friday, Mar 8, 2013) : 1. After I saw the video by Corning, I realize that technology is something that always improved because there are innovative people behind that. The Touch Technology is really amazing and it can make us doing our activity easily.

But, we mustnt fully rely to technology like that because sometimes manual things are better depends on the situation. 2. Invent new technologies is great, but improve the previous technology is not a bad idea. Steve Job is the one who does that. Tablet technology was already invented, but he cleverly modified it and made iPad. But, I think the key is he can do it faster than anyone else. Nowadays, technology has become a necessity in our life and it has changed much of the world, including the business world. The innovation of technology makes our life easier. For example we can see it from video A Day Made of Glass by Corning. In this video everything is made from glass. We can organize our schedule on the bathroom mirror while brushing our teeth or reading a book on a thin glass. Technology affects our daily lives almost in everything thing that we do and makes our life more comfortable and convenient. But sometimes, technology can become a bad thing, depends on how the technology is being used. If we use it in the wrong way it could endanger our life and if we use in the right way everything will became helpful and easier for us.

Teams Weekly Summary From all members opinion above, we can conclude that many of us feels all of new developed technologies and new innovations is a double-edged sword. It means that technology has a good benefit and also has a bad side-effect. From the good point of view, we can say that technology will help people in any occasions to make peoples life easier. However, if we cant manage and control it wisely, technology can also harm people. Moreover, technology development should not only making life easier but also still encouraging people to balance their life. The second things is we think internet and technology become everyones idea business in the future. As the business evolve from traditional-operated enterprises to self-operated enterprises, many start-up business established even from a smartphone. However, if we can do it faster from anyone else, thats also become an advantage to us. The third things is about the visionaries shown in the class. It shows how the future cant be predicted, even by expert people in their area. It represent how technology development even cant be predicted by our current imagination.
