BRIEF NOTE ON A.P. MEAT DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED The A.P. Meat and Poultry Development Corporation was established on 31.10.1977 Vide G.O.Ms.No.795, Forest & Rural Development dated 26.10.1977. The Government based on the recommendation of Subramanyam Committee constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee to restructure A.P.S. M.P.D.C.L. The recommendations of the Sub-Committee were: To continue the Meat establishment of Modern Services in the State. activity confining to the Abattoirs and Consultancy

To rename the Corporation as A.P.M.D.C. Accordingly, the Corporation was renamed as A.P.M.D.C. on 2.3.2000 and the Construction of Modern Abattoir Project; Chengicherla was completed and was put to operation on 1.1.2004. Since, the Municipal Corporation Hyderabad has not come forward to takeover the Modern Abattoir Project, Chengicherla, it is being maintained by the APMDCL. Proposals to privatize the MAP, Chengicherla is under active consideration of the Government. FINANCIAL POSITION OF THE CORPORATION; The Corporation has authorized share capital of Rs.10 crores and paid up capital is Rs.6.87 crores and share deposit of Rs.23.55 crores. The accrued loss of the corporation as on 31.3.2006 is Rs.15.06 crores. The Corporation is having assets worth of Rs 49.75 Crores and whereas the liabilities of the corporation is Rs.9.14 crores(approx). The Annual accounts for the year 2003-04 was completed in all aspects. The Statutory Audit for the year 2004-05 is in progress. The Honble Chief Minister, Govt of A.P. was pleased to announce the Reconstitution of A.P. Sheep and Goat Development Cooperative Federation Ltd., by absorbing A.P. Meat Development Corporation Ltd., along with all its assets, liabilities and the present staff working with it in the review meeting held on 14.6.2005. The modalities are being worked out.

Introduction
1.1 Background The prime object of this hand book is to provide for citizens to secure to access to information. 1.2 Objective /Purpose: i) ii) 1.3 To maintain transparency on the activities of the Organization. To provide requisite information to the public in the matters of public interest.

All butchers Qureshis and who wish to utilize the slaughter facilities of APMDCL. iii. All general public and departments/Institutions who wish to know the slaughter / meat development activities in AP State. iv. All the general public who wants to avail the facilities available in Modern Abattoir Project taken up by the Corporations. v. All the Institutions /Departments who want to avail the consultancy Services of the Corporation.
