Your Storm is Under His Feet

By Pastor Sean Pinder

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. -Matthew 14:25 My wife and I were in a store tonight that had a picture of Jesus walking on the water. As I stared at the photo, the presence of God came on me. I felt God speak to my heart and say, Tell my people the storm that they are facing is UNDER MY FEET. The picture I saw was inspired by Matthew 14:25: And in the fourth watch of the night [3 a.m.] Jesus went unto them, WALKING ON THE SEA. In this particular chapter, Christs disciples were caught in a terrible storm that almost destroyed their lives. The important thing to remember is that they were in the storm because of their obedience to the Lord. It was Jesus who asked the disciples to get into the ship and to go before Him to the other side The storm in your life does not mean you are out of the will of God. These faithful men were right in the center of Gods will, yet they were in a storm. Dont allow the enemy to confuse you and make you think that you have done something wrong. In fact, in this particular scenario, they had done the right thing by obeying the Lord Jesus. A very important point to remember is that, when you obey the Lord, He is obligated to come through for you. I feel the Lord is headed in your direction and I know this stormyour stormis under His feet. When Jesus shows up, there is a change. The same Peter who, minutes earlier, was frightened beyond measure, could now walk on the water to go to Jesus. All of a sudden, the storm was under Peters feet as well. Even though, for a moment, he began to sink, Jesus reached out His hands and pulled him back on top of the water. He is repositioning you as you read. Stand to your feet by an act of faith right now and declare to your storm, YOU ARE UNDER MY FEET IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS. Your storm is not going to destroy you. You are coming out and will make it safely to the other side. Scripture tells us in verse 34 that they made it to the other side. Give God the glory because He is stronger than your storm and has stepped in at the right time to deliver you. The Word says in Psalm 34:19: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but out of them all the Lord delivers him. Be encouraged; the storm is now under your feet.
