Henry welcome all and thank every body for attending and gives a brief overview on 2008 then gives a brief overview for 2009 Motovating speech Rule Amendment: Philip Jones not happy with the rule on weights added as a penalty. Would prefer no success penalties at all. Need a majority vote from world formula. They want to run with the same rules as Pro Karts. Rob & Henry suggest they put out a letter to all WF competitors and get a majority vote Ref: 002 Rule Amendment: 5.18 WF must have a minimum of 2 drivers for an event. World Formula want to run with the same rule as Pro Karts regarding the minimum number of drivers in an event and the penalties for failing to meet the minimum driver requirements. We need a consensus or majority vote from competitors to run the same rule as Pro Karts which is a min 2 drivers and a max of 6 drivers.. Ref: 003 Wet Weather Tires: Only new tires may be grooved and the grooving may only be done with the same pattern and grove.Technical committee to come back with a blue print and pattern for the drivers and authorised tyre grooving personnel. ( technical committee to be established for 2009 today) Rule Amendment: Registration Fee for 2009 ( 1.4.1) yearly registration fee must be changed to R1000 . Patsy Rob & Henry Deadline next Rule Questioned and a suggestion made by Gary Baldwin. If a to discuss this meeting team has a spare kart to be used by invitation drivers for the development of the series does that team have to register two teams issue and pay two registration fees? Can we waiver the R1000 fee ? Rule Questioned: Technical committee to investigate the brake system (hydraulic system from Grant is available, this is a Jaguar system) rule no 6.2. section 2 - Brakes Pro Karts will stick to the current rule .There is a American clutch that cost R3000.00 or the Grogro clutch Technical committee to investigate availablity of clutches with Bartel at CEF 13th Feb 09

Introducing Honda engines for Pro Karts and World Formula - Rob Patsy Rob & Henry for next meeting read the proposal from Honda and the engine prices. Suggestion was to set up press kart with Honda engines and monitor the progress and eliminate any problems that may occur. Rob needs to investigate the source of the motor and the reported problem with the valves. If any modification to the valves are required it should be done pre purchase. Rob & Patsy to set up meeting with Honda in order to answer all the questions that need to be addressed and what solutions Honda will suggest .. Everybody at the meeting in favour of the move to Honda on a phased basis over two years. New karts should be supplied with Honda engines.WF Honda GX 390, Prokart GX200. It was agreed by both series that points scored with a Briggs and Stratton engined kart would carried over to Honda engine class when transition is made. The cut off for this points carry over would be race 7. Ref: 010 Patsy Rob Henry & Suggestion : Rob & Patsy to establish if Honda can assist our technical committee. Require full technical specifications. Suggestion Technical that Honda give a Motor to the series winner for Pro Karts and World Committee Formula at the end of each year Patsy Rob and Technical committee to have a meeting with Honda Ref: 011 Philip Jones to assist Nico Roets with this to get it off the ground Calendar amendment: the race in Bloem is on the 9th and and not Patsy Rob & Henry to discuss this the 10th competitors also suggested we take our own scale. issue Suggestion: Recycle old Briggs & Stratten motors into a Junior Class. World Formula are happy to put a quieter Technical committee to silencer on the exhaust .. handle First Race for the season will be at BAR and not Zwartkops on the Bev to advise Sunday 8 March. BAR do have a corporate booked for the Saturday competitors but we will advise on the time should anyone want to test or practice on the Saturday .. Rules on the track regarding Clothing: Applies to all drivers even All when testing or practicing , secondly no racing down the pit lane Beverly to E-Mail Practice cards and registration fees Practice Card will cost R1600 for the year with unlimited practice but a surcharge of R35.00 Banking Details will need to be paid on the day as this covers cleaning up pits and electricity used by drivers or R150.00 per day per practice or alternatively go to Zwartkops and pay R300.00 for the day to practice Ref: 018

Race Numbers: 1 to 10 are allocated to drivers as they finished in the championship the rest are on request ... Pro Karts will race with a White number plate and Black numbers eg: P1 World formula will use a Yellow number plate with Black numbers eg: W1 and Honda motors will race with a Red number plate and white number Ref: 019 Logo development Competition - Roelf, Gary ,Rob, Henry & Steven to give a prizeof R500.00 to the person who comes up with a logo for both series combined. General: Darren (needs photos) ... Alan has 3 requests: 1) from his wife she would like name tags for drivers 2) Karts for sale to be made available on website 3) Drivers names and contact numbers to be made available on website. Barry needs extra and available spare drivers to be put onto the website. Darren has suggested they contact him for this info and he will keep it up dated .... Beverly pomotes the series to all the corporate groups and when she gets drivers that are keen ..to then send there names to Rob or Daren so that a drive can be arrange for them. Nico, Roelf suggests that we look at a better type of trophy not that they have a problem with them its just that a change would be great. Rob explained that all the trophies are donated free of charge and should they want a change they needed to come up with sponsors for them .Gary has a dyno and happy to let the series to use it .Colin to have a list of spares and prices (Technical committe ). This seems to be a problem and needs to be addressed with Bartel and Patsy. Miguel intoduced his new team Apex Racing .Johan wants more information about the wings and wheels day at Springs. Rob Welcome to the new teams and suggests we all assist them. Suggestion 8th February Marketing day bring all the karts for sale confirm with Patsy and lets help all the new teams.
