Major Chords

Chord Diagram Reading Hints:

1-The Top to bottom(Vertical) lines are you Guitar strings, Just the way you see a guitar from top to bottom.From left is 6th=E, 5th=A, 4th=D,3rd = G, 2nd = B and 1st = e strings respectively according to Tuning method. The left to right lines are your Fret boards. The numbers on the bottom of the the strings are your finger numbers of left hand. 2- X denotes to mute strings, you cannot stroke them located on the top. 3- O Denotes to Open strings. 4- Major chords are written with a capital letter M after the chord name or nothing after it. ex: DM or D, Minor chords are written with a small letter m after the chord name. Ex: Em

Primary Task:

1- Memorize the chords separately. 2- Stroke / Pick each string separately and make sure all notes are audible which you are picking. 3- Strum all strings together with DOWN stroke. 4-Strum the chord DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN with 120 bpm with A metronome on 4/4. 5-Apply the same for all chords. (Donot SKIP any single steps before you are confirm with the previous task step )

CHORD CHANGING
PART -1
1- Hold D Major. 2-Start your metronome at 120 bpm 4/4. 3-Strum Down Down Down Down and play it exactly with the metronome. 4-On the 5th Down strum, that is the 1st beat of the 2nd measure, change the chord to A Major, Play Down Down Down Down same as D. 5-After Down Down Down Down on A Major, Change the chord back To D . 6- Continue same as long as you are not able to play and change the chord with metronome. 7-Make sure your chords are sounding clear with all the strings you are playing.

PART -2

1- Hold G Major. 2-Start your metronome at 120 bpm 4/4. 3-Strum Down Down Down Down and play it exactly with the metronome.

4-On the 5th Down strum, that is the 1st beat of the 2nd measure, change the chord to C Major, Play Down Down Down Down same as G. 5-After Down Down Down Down on C Major, Change the chord back To G . 6- Continue same as long as you are not able to play and change the chord with metronome. 7-Make sure your chords are sounding clear with all the strings you are playing.

part- 4
1- Hold Am 2-Start your metronome at 120 bpm 4/4. 3-Strum Down Up Down Up and play it exactly with the metronome. 4-On the 5th Down strum, that is the 1st beat of the 2nd measure, change the chord to Em , Play Down Up Down Up . 5-After Down Up Down Up on Em , Change the chord back To Dm . 6- Continue same as long as you are not able to play and change the chord with metronome. 7-Make sure your chords are sounding clear with all the strings you are playing.
