Gujarat National Law University announces its Second Short Film Making Competition as a part of its annual cultural fest, PENTAGRAM. The competition seeks to provide film makers a platform to show case their works of art and reach out to an audience beyond the contours of peer and professional circles. We seek to celebrate the film-maker in you! THE COMPETITION: Prize Money: Rs. 7,500/Length of Film: Under 15 Minutes (Title card to end credits) (No minimum limit) Theme: We dont have one. NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY payable at AHMEDABAD) FORMAT: The films are to be shot in any format including Handycam, PD 170, DV, MiniDV, etc. Types of films allowed are fictional short films (including those with adapted screenplays), documentaries, live and animation. Kindly submit your entries along with the duly filled in and signed registration form after reading the terms & conditions. TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: 1. The films may be shot in any format as stated previously, but submitted preferably in .avi format. 2. The films shall be submitted on DVD (two copies) or uploaded on Youtube. However, it would be preferred if DVDs were submitted in order to preserve the picture and sound quality of the film. In case of movies being uploaded on Youtube, send us the link to vishnus08@gnlu.ac.in (your registration however will be confirmed only on the receipt of your registration fee and form) 3. All DVDs shall be labeled with the Title, Directors Name and the format of the film. A synopsis of the film should be submitted along with the entry. 4. There is no restriction on the number of entries that a single director may send. All entries shall be registered in the name of the Director. 5. The DVDs may either be delivered in person or sent by courier or uploaded on Youtube. 6. Films may be in English or Hindi. Films in other languages must contain subtitles.

The film maker shall continue to hold the IPR for the film(s) submitted, however, all rights including but not limited to distribution, exhibition, alteration, modification, screening, etc., of the films, for purposes relating to the competition shall rest with the Organizers. 9. By submitting the film for the competition the film makers, producer, etc. do hereby transfer all the rights as mentioned hereinabove to the Organizer and give up any claims, compensations, rights, etc. on the said film. 10. The decision of the Jury/Organizer in all matters shall be final, and binding on all participants. 11. Once submitted, the films cannot be withdrawn for any reason whatsoever. 12. No materials, documents, etc. submitted for participation shall be returned under any circumstances and shall become the property of the organizers, for the duration of the competition. 13. The scheduling, timetable and screening of the winners films shall be at the discretion of the Organizers. 14. The filmmakers, producers, etc. hereby indemnify and keep indemnified the Organizers against any loss, cost, or expense (including attorneys fees), due to any claim by themselves and/or any other parties relating to the said film or its rights. 15. Entry and participation of films implies unconditional acceptance of the regulations.
