WELCOME FRESHMAN!

Greet the school year with a renewed passion for knowledge and a refreshed thirst for that ever elusive four-letter title -ATTY.
Here are a few MSU Law School musts: MUST HAVE STARTED AHEAD If you spent the whole summer frolicking, lucky lucky you. Too bad for your dream of topping the bar though. Time wasted is time lost forever. So scram! Cram! Your best advantage in Sir Magis class can be well-digested textbook and reviewer. Sir Calalas rst impression of you better be an a-na-mapasang-aya-i-kamemorize-a-wata rendition of the New Civil Code provisions, verbatim. MUST ORGANIZE STUDY MATERIALS Maintain separate marked Manila envelopes for each of your subjects this semester. Learn to organize your study materials. Study a single subject at a time. As with the amount of bar-ops that you will probably be photocopying, it is only best to segregate. MUST KNOW YOUR PROFESSORS Do not come to battle without rst knowing who your enemy is. Be equipped with the knowledge of how to impress your professors. Remember what they say about rst impressions. Do a little research. Ask around. Secure a copy of the professors bar-ops (old exams). But keep in mind that the main goal is to pass the bar and not to pass his subject. Never solely rely on bar-ops: Use them as a guide but read and understand the whole textbook rst! MUST BE INQUISITIVE Comprehend what you read. Always have legal, english and latin dictionaries beside you. Incorporate legal terms in your lingo. Go outside the little box. Explore the internet. Recent jurisprudence are just a few clicks away. Ask assistance from fellow law students worldwide when you need to, it might just be what the online law forums are there for. Google is your best friend. For curiositys sake, surf: http://www.chanrobles.com http://bar.attyatwork.com http://www.supremecourt.gov.ph http://www.lawphil.net It is never too early to check out other law schools reviewers when you have the luxury of time. MUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF A wise man knows his limitations. He expounds them. Know what your weaknesses are. Strengthen them. Build up your forte. In the end, you only have yourself during the bar exam.
