lead heading into the 9th inning, but allowed Fresno to score 2 runs and take a 6-5 lead. In the bottom 1B Scott Savastano (0x4, 2 RBI, BB,
SF) hit a game-tying sacrifice fly to tie the game. Starter Brian Sweeney (4.0,6,4,4,1,2,HR) allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 4.0 innings, but
didnt figure into the decision. Relievers Bobby LaFromboise (2.0,3,0,0,0,4) and Danny Farquhar (2.0,0,0,0,0,2) each tossed 2.0
scoreless innings in relief. LF Lucas Luetge (2.0,3,2,2,1,4) was charged with 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning, while LH Brian Moran
(1.0,7,5,5,0,1) was tagged with the loss after allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in the 11th inning. 2B Carlos Triunfel (3x6, 2B, 2 RBI) led the team
with 3 hits. SS Nick Franklin (1x3, 2 R, HR, RBI, BB) hit his 2nd home run of the season, a solo shot with 1 out in the 6th inning.
OF NOTE: INF Nick Frankin has hit safely in 8 of 9 games to start the season, batting .333 (11x33) with 8 runs, 1 double, 2 home runs, 7
RBI and 5 walks. OF Eric Thames is the only player in the league to reach base safely in each of his teams first 15 games this season,
with 14 games with hits. Overall this season he is batting .328 (20x48) with 9 runs scored, 2 double, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 5 RBI, 1 stolen

top 5 prospects in the Mariners farm system, as ranked by Baseball America. Catcher Mike Zunino (No. 1), pitchers Danny Hultzen (No.
3) and James Paxton (No. 4), and infielder Nick Franklin (No. 5) all sit atop BAs list entering the 2013 season.
HITTING FOR THE CYCLE: Shortstop Carlos Triunfel recorded 5 hits, including hitting for the cycle as AAA Tacoma shutout Fresno 8-0
on Wednesday night. Singling on the first pitch he saw in the fifth inning, Triunfel completed Tacomas first cycle since Raul Ibaez
accomplished the feat on Aug. 19, 1997 vs. Albuquerque. He also is the first player in the Pacific Coast League to cycle since Nashvilles
Caleb Gindl on July 10, 2011, also against Albuquerque. Triunfel achieved the act in his first 4 at-bats of the game. He tripled with one out
in the first inning, led off the bottom of the third with a double, then homered in the fourth. He completed the cycle in the fifth inning after
lining a single down the right field line. Triunfel snapped an 0-for-20 stretch coming into the game and was the first Rainiers player since
Michael Saunders on July 30, 2011 vs. Las Vegas to record 5 hits in a game.
Todays probable starter: LH Danny Hultzen (2-1, 2.70 ERA) vs. Fresno
