Henry's Angels Easter Party brought plenty of smiles for the children at EllenorLions Hospice
Gillingham, 22 April 2013 Henrys Angels, a group of volunteer team members of Henry Schein UK, one of the leading providers of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health practitioners in the United Kingdom, organized an Easter Surprise Bash for the children at EllenorLions Hospice at Beckets Sports Center in Dartford. EllenorLions Hospice is an organization that cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses in the area of Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley and its childrens hospice chYps that cares for more than 120 young people in their homes across West Kent and the London Borough of Bexley. Dozens of chYps families had a fantastic time, the children danced, played games, had their faces painted, did arts and crafts and tucked into lots of Easter goodies. The Henry Schein team baked cakes for the party and donated gifts for the Pass-the-Parcel. Lyn Yorke, Henrys Angels Founding Committee Member said, A room full of energetic smiling little faces filled the whole hall with laughter, each one having as much fun as the next. Pass the Parcel ChYps style was one of the highlights for me, every child won a prize and every child was so happy to take a turn at un-wrapping the huge parcel. Tracie Dempster, Head of Care, chYps, said, "Everyone had a lovely time at the party. It was wonderful to see the children and their siblings really enjoying themselves. We are very grateful to Henry's Angels and Becket Sports Centre for putting on a fantastic bash for our families." Henrys Angels was formed in January 2011 with the goal of providing Henry Schein team members an opportunity to help local causes in practical ways. Since the first project of Henrys Angels, nine projects have been completed with more than 2,150 hours of work spent either painting childrens bedrooms or charity shops, gardening, moving hundreds of bricks, wrapping gifts or washing cars to fundraise for materials needed. The Angels believe that time is one of the most valuable commodities they can give and together they can make a big difference.
