i-PBX is a registered product brand of Korea Telecom (KT) and

KT directly provides i-PBX, IP phone, and its related services to enterprise clients for contracted period of time. To provide both Internet and IP-Telephony service to enterprise clients by using one static public IP address, KT applied strict QoS strategy, system performance requirement, call quality requirement, and system security requirements to i-PBX. It lowers cost by reducing unnecessary phone numbers and it also contains other various functions that cut off the communication expenses. KT and Coretree have worked together from product development stage of i-PBX and it is designed to match KTs corporate image. To target small business and SOHOs, this product is designed in very compact size considering their limited office space, and it also can be installed on office walls by its wall mount kit.

Using one H/W platform, SOHOs and small business with less than 200 employees can get both internet and IP-Telephony service. To utilize maximum bandwidth of the high-speed internet lines, and to support wire-speed networking within the office, gigabit Ethernet is applied in every network interface. Also, to prepare for rapid data increase in the future, high speed processor that can handle NAT in wire speed is adapted. And since PSTN and Wi-Fi modules are not required by all companies, these are supplied by options to reduce the initial installment cost. Even though the product is priced low enough that SOHO customers can afford, it is designed for companies with employees up to 200 employees. This gives SOHO customers plenty of room for potential expansion without additional cost. This also benefits ITSPs because carrying just one product instead of several products for different sizes of companies lowers both initial investment and operation cost accordingly. ThinkBox provides general features of i-PBX that is proven in Korean market and it supports stronger security standards than general IP-PBX products preventing security problems such as illegal access or usage. Using self-developed SIP protocol stack and IP-PBX S/W enables to deliver new market demands quickly.

ThinkBox Secure is a IP-PBX software that uses Topaz security switch as H/W platform. It provides enriched VoIP quality
and investment efficiency by converging IP-PBX and 3rd party security switch that is already proven in the market. In case of mid size companies with large number of employees or IT related companies; the cost for network security is dramatically increasing. Especially the companies who want to start IP-Telephony service have to face new problems like processing both voice and data traffic through complicated infra-network above problems like preventing network trouble and keeping network security. It is easy to find cases like one virus infected computer overloading entire network system or a computer with wrong LAN card set up causing problems on the entire company network. With only one troubled computer, the entire network system can be overloaded and it can cause significant decline on network speed and can damage the quality of IP-Telephony service. Since IP-PBX uses public IP address to communicate with ITSP servers, it is more vulnerable to DoS/DDoS attacks and hackers who are after free IP-Telephony service. ThinkAgent series are software that is compatible with ThinkBox IP-PBX.

ThinkBox IP-PBX is compatible with most of SIP-based soft phone and smart phone applications. And Coretree provides open API to the solution providers with NDA for enabling reception of 3rd party software solutions such as controlling IP-PBX directly on CRM, ERP, or call centers and receiving caller IDs and call detailed records. ThinkAgent series provides distinctive features from existing free soft-phone program. The upgraded features includes controlling IP phones or smart phones by using ThinkAgent software in PCs, recording conversation on IP phones in PCs or enterprise recording servers and simple CRM tasks. ThinkAgent series provided to end user clients as freeware and also customized programs are posted on ITSPs portal sites. ThinkAgent Premium which is a solution integrated with the 3rd party packages verified in the field is delivered thru its own channel. And new technical co-operation with other solution providers are possible for new ThinkBox IP-PBX bundle package.
