Adolf Hitler had a rough childhood, and he recalled being a troublesome student. It also shows Hitler standing at the very top and center of his group of friends, which represents his popularity and leadership during his school days. We used this to prove the reader with visuals about the time in his life we were describing in our text. The experiments were brutal, and the victims often died or were permanently disabled. This helped us to display the effect of the Holocaust on its victims. The abuse that he endured may have led to his ruthlessness, while his mother's death was a huge blow to him. Both of these events sparked a dark side to Hitler. Print. Being one of Hitler's most famed works, we analyzed "Mein Kampf" to understand the world that he lived in. However, when he was rejected from the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, we believe that he became furious and bitter, leading him to become a ruthless monster. These are two drawings that Hitler submitted in his application to the Vienna Academy of Art. It shows that along with having immense public speaking skills and the power to lead an entire country, he was gifted in other aspects. It also shows readers what his art looked like, which may help them udnerstand why he was so sure that he would get into his dream school. The pictures from this website are a primary source because they are images of the actual sketches of Adolf Hitler.

This showed us a copy of one of Hitler's paintings. Hitler was an artist before his political career, and his lack of success in the field may have led to his hatred for the world. Martin Luther was known to be an active antisemitic, writing articles like these which demonized Jewish people. Such writings may have swayed Hitler's own beliefs. N.p.: n.p., n.d. Print. This document told us about antisemitism long before Hitlers time. Martin Luther was an antisemetic as well, so this helped us understand and explain the beliefs before Hitlers influence. It is a primary source because it is a personal account of these beliefs. The people were craving change and loved him as a leader, as the picture clearly depicts. The source is a primary source because it is the actual picture of Hitler taken in his life. This is a primary source because it is a copy of the exact words of the law, written during Hitlers time. Triumph of the Will. Dir. Leni Riefenstahl. 1935. This is a film that shows the events of the Sixth Nuremberg Party Congress. We used a short clip of one of Hitlers speeches addressing the members of the Party. This clip of his speech vividly expresses Hitlers capabilities to lead the nation of German through his abilities to excite and inspire the people of Germany. The "Heil Hitler" gesture was created by Hitler, and it was a very popular greeting during the time of Hitler's rule. This is a primary source because the picture was taken during Hitler's lifetime. We used this picture in our explanations about him being abused in his youth, and thought the picture would be a tool to help readers visualize the scene, since most people know him only as an adult. Its hard to feel sympathy for a man who killed millions of people, but a picture of him as a child will help remind people that he wasnt born a monster, and will help them accept the story . It is a primary resource because it was taken in the actual time of Hitlers life.

It is a primary source because Stefan Zweig was an author who lived during the same time period as Hitler.
