The readiness that comes from the gospel of peace (Ephesians. 6:15) is referring to much more than just peace in this little phrase used by the Apostle Paul. Think about it. Your feet are to be fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, which means the truth or the good news that we as believers have for someone who is not yet a follower of Christ. This good newsthe news that God purchased peace between himself and mankind by the death of his Son is offered to all who believe and receive it! If it truly is good news, then why are we often not more ready and willing to share it?

6. Notice that the armor we are referring to is the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Notice that the feet are fitted with the gospelbut they are also fitted with readiness. What is meant by the gospel in our armor (not the readiness, not peace, but verse 17b)?
