XXX MARKETING AND EVENTS OFFICER MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB To be responsible for the supporting the implementation and evaluation of XXXs marketing strategy to promote XXX and home-based XXX, incorporating brand positioning. To manage the organisation of all XXX core events, including the annual conference. POSITION IN ORGANISATION Reports to: Marketing and Communications Manager

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES A Marketing With the Marketing and Communications Manager, ensure strategies to establish and market XXX as a brand and home-based XXX are implemented and evaluated effectively. To develop and maintain XXXs brand-book, guidelines and supporting material to ensure it is up date and effectively communicate developments to staff and volunteers To inform and implement marketing plans, working with the Marketing and Communications Manager, to improve understanding of home based XXX among XXX and evaluate their effectiveness. To work with the Senior Publications Editor and Web Editor to identify and develop printed materials and online content to support XXXs corporate marketing To provide advice and support to Membership and Professional Development and Operations Departments to develop, implement and evaluate marketing activity focused on XXX and local authorities respectively. To support XXXs internal communications plans to ensure effective engagement with staff. Events management To manage and implement the Annual Conference to meet objectives and budgets agreed by Marketing and Communications Manager To be responsible for the venue, programme (including speakers, workshops and seminars) and exhibition, utilising administration support from the Communications Administrator and to ensure the smooth running of the event, including managing any support staff and volunteers To ensure the event is effectively promoted and marketed to maximise delegate attendance To manage and implement other core XXX events, including three XXX seminars. To provide advice and support to Operations staff organising local events and seminars and support the Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure volunteers manage their events effectively.

To evaluate the Annual conference and Network Seminars to ensure learning is shared and considered as part of future events.

CRITERIA EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a similar role(s), incorporating Corporate marketing Events management Collaborative working with partners and other agencies KNOWLEDGE Project management skills with a proven capacity to organise and plan time effectively to meet deadlines Communicate effectively using appropriate methods and language, including IT, with a range of audiences. Creative writing and editing skills Intermediate ICT skills Strong inter-personal and communications skills Collaborative working as part of a team Demonstrate anti-discriminatory practice in all areas of work Criteria Tested At Application Interview
