12 VICTIM INJURIES: {V sustained discoloration and minor pain to his left cheek from A/ slap. The punch from A caused pain to his head/ear. -->} 13 INCIDENTAL PROPERTY DAMAGE: (DESCRIPTION & VALUE) { -->} 14 VEHICLE IMPOUNDED?: [ ] (Y/N) STORAGE LOCATION: [ ] 15 INITIAL INCIDENT DESCRIPTION / NARRATIVE: {On 4-28-13, I was working uniformed patrol as a 2 Officer Patrol Car, 3E2, with Officer Steiger #7503. At about 0200hrs we were dispatched to 14 Broadway, the , to investigate an assault. We arrived at and located A/ laying on the sidewalk, pinned to the ground by two security guards. He was bleeding from his head and there was some blood on the ground. I approached him and informed him that I was the Police. I asked him if he could remain calm and stay where he was if I let the security guards release him, he said yes and complied. SFD treated A/ for his injuries while Officer Steiger and I interviewed witnesses. I interviewed A/ girlfriend, A She was highly intoxicated and agitated. I aksed her what happened, she reported the following: She and A/ were inside of the club, walking down the stairs. A/ had his arms around waist when two security guards grabbed him for no apparent reason and tried to push him down the stairs. A/ reported that the security guards pushed and kicked and punched A/ while he was on the ground. A/ did not know why this happened and did not elaborate further on her story. Officer Steiger and I interviewed V/ , the manager, W/ security, W a DJ, W security, and W/ security, they all reported basically the same story, not all of which was captured by their statements which they provided in written form without any Police present, summarized as follows: A/ and A were caught by security trying to go into the same bathroom to presumably have sex on the first floor. W/ warned them that they were not allowed to do that. A/ and A/ were then caught by a patron having sex

in the second floor bathroom. W/ again told them they couldn't do that. A/ then jumped over a railing on to the stairway. At that time, after having gained the attention of all of the security guards and the manager, they decided to ask A/ and A/ to leave the club. As they were escorting A/ out of the club, A/ wrestled free of an escort hold and punched the manager of the club, V/ in the side of the head, connecting at the ear, causing V/ minor pain. Security threw A/ to the ground then escorted him out of the club. Once outside of the club, they released their hold on A/ . A began throwing punches at the security guards. He missed in his attempts to assault the security guards, but in the process, he ended up falling and hitting his head against a metal pole. I observed the blood on the pole. A/ got back up and again tried to hit the security guards. On four separate occasions, A tried to strike the security guards. At that time the security guards wrestled A/ to the ground and awaited Police arrival. During the scuffle, A/ slapped V in the face. A/ declined to give a statement.

A/ and A were placed under arrest for Assault. A/ had injuries to his face so we transported him to HMC for treatment. A/ h was booked into KCJ for assault. -->}
