A complete education can help you reach eternity. Education is complete via teaching, teaching means imparting knowledge and values to students. According to me, teaching is a profession where one can watch a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, which is a wonder to watch. Teaching is done by a teacher. A teacher guides us, motivates us, she is an administrator, an innovative personal and makes us what we are at present. Mere qualification and experience of years does not make a teacher, a teacher is complete when he/she wants to enlighten the students, wants them to be more successful then him, and wants to serve the students without any greed of money. A teacher should possess nature of treating every student equally without any ambiguity; a teachers strong influence can prevent any student from getting distracted. Teaching should be with modesty and should inspire intellectual curiosity. WILLIAM GLASSIER has said A mediocre teacher tells, A good teacher explains, A superior teacher demonstrates, But, a great teacher inspires. Teachers mould you. All teachers apply different techniques for teaching their subject, some make it full of lively examples, some, on the other hand are of those serious types with strict talk only about the subject, A teacher when enters the class with grace and a tiny smile on the enthusiastic face is the loved by all . In the great epic, MAHABHARATA, Lord Krishna was a teacher for Arjuna; a SARATHI like lord Krishna depicts a true teacher. A kindergarten teacher teaches the kids like a big sister as a mother, a primary teacher is cheerful towards the students, A secondary school teacher takes interest in the student in order to take out the hidden talent from the student, The higher secondary teacher is a alarmed towards the student and is cautious about the students academic and personal progress. As a child grows to become a teen, and then to a be a major he experiences the teachings of different teachers; A teacher teaches him how to write, how to think, how to understand and how to interpret. A teacher is a childs first role model.

I believe, Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning. A teacher has to first hold the students attention and then teach the lesson. Passion of teaching along with compassion builds up a good teacher. Teaching doesnt emphasize on asking questions to students, it is about making the students capable of asking questions which are tricky even for the teacher to answer. Teaching is via soul and not merely by mouth or hand; it involves consistently filtering out the negatives that dont matter and sharing a positive attitude. HELEN KELLER, whom as we all know was a motivation for all blind and deaf people due to her courage, very few know that her teacher, ANNIE SULLIVAN, the one who was able to open a new world for her student Helen, she taught Braille, social etiquette and bought courage in Helen. SWAMI VIVEKANANDA, BUDDHA, VALMIKI, VED VYAS were the great teachers in history. We necessarily need not to think about the great teachers and their great students, if we will think about ourselves and the teachers who taught us, well be capable of evaluating the greatness of a teacher and teaching. Teachers always have the perspective that the students dont always think what the teacher thinks, and so the teacher has to analyse the intellectual skill of every student, making it a complex profession. Children have different strategies for learning and achieving their goals. A few students in a classroom will grasp and learn quickly, but at the same time there will be those who have to be repeatedly taught using different techniques for the student to be able to understand the lesson. On the other hand, there are those students who fool around and use school as entertainment. Teaching then becomes difficult, especially if there is no proper communication. Yet, teachers, creating a positive relationship with their students, can control all the disruptive students. According to the writer JONES, teachers are encouraged to blend their warmth and firmness towards the students in their classroom, but with realistic limits, these limits have to be set by the teacher them selves Teaching involves constant monitoring of every student, and the students anticipate that the teacher will be aware of their difficulties, understanding the students confusion first, and then arriving to any conclusion or solution is what ideal teachers usually do. Teachers have to deal with minority students also; in that case they have to build the self worth of the students. As a matter of fact, teachers can actually be good psychologists too. These days, teaching is not sticking to the curriculum and nurturing words from the books, because all the students are not interested in this type of teaching, instead a class having symbiotic relation and mutual interaction between the GURU AND THE SHISHYA can be beneficial. Teaching involves respect and enthusiasm from both the parts, when a teacher shares control of the class with the students, the student feels valued and thus there will be no dissatisfaction in the students mind. Peer pressure issues are gradually increasing these days, which makes a student develop superiority complex and the other feels victimized. This again becomes a task for the teacher to coordinate and settle down with the students. Abolishing the extreme superiority complex or inferiority complex in a student can be done by the teacher in the early schooling, which will be beneficial to the student for the rest of his carrier. `. Quoting BILL GATES Technology is just a tool, in terms of getting the kids work together and motivating them, the teacher is most important. The latest technology has

risen and everyday new ideas come forward, learning through those tools can impart you knowledge but it cannot teach you how to utilize the knowledge, but, a teacher can, and thats what a teacher does. Sadly, these days, Students are being subjected to dull lessons; teachers are giving a satisfactory performance which can be a minus point to the student and the society. One of the reasons in increased inefficiency of a teacher is Inability to listen to a student. A teacher, nowadays, lacks time to get to know their student. A report says. "In less effective mathematics lessons, pupils tend to be given initial examples followed by many similar questions that do not go beyond the basic revision of a skill or technique." students aspiring for tougher competetetiv exams need a better training. In many school syllabus set for a term is comparatively like a mountain, due to which a teacher has to wind up the topics faster and thus, making the students confused. A teacher has to be with a lesson plan and also the education system needs to be organized to settle this trouble. Most importantly, a teacher needs to form a bond with the student wherein the teacher can relate to the students worries and can subsequently help the student. The worry can be related to study or even a personal dilemma. Teaching is a profession where a person needs to have an attitude of gratitude toward students, becoming a teacher in order to merely raise money from the institution is not a sign of nobility and neither you can define yourself as a teacher, a teacher is a best councillor. To sum up, Determination, patience and good relationship to students are the keys of a successful teacher. What If a teacher does not know how to write lesson plan correctly or how to answer the student? Example: A trainee teacher who does not have understanding skill will ruin the students by not giving correct explanation, facts and will not convey it to the students properly, the student will remain unattended. In such a case, it is important to produce capable professionally developed teachers who can understand problems and needs of students and respond accordingly. Teachers can be made professionally competent by teaching them life skills through teacher education program. Once teachers acquire these life skills they can apply them in their personal life as well as implementing it in teaching. Life skills involve using Multi disciplinary resources like big ideas in economics, behavioural psychology, and politics which can help the teacher see connections that make topics relevant and interesting to students. For a teacher it is important to believe that every student can succeed. If you believe it, students will realize it and work harder. And as it says Clear eyes and Full Hearts- Can't lose In life of every individual, there is a teacher who has created impact which is not erasable, teaching is the most Nobel profession and teachers are truly our biggest well wishers. Thus concluding, there is one Hindu shlok dedicated to every teacher: tvameva Mata chaa pita tvameva, tvameva bandhushsha sakha tvameva, tvameva vidhya dravina n tvameva,

tvameva sarva.n mama dev deva Meaning, oh teacher, you are my brother and companion; you alone are knowledge and wealth. You are everything to me.
