QUALIFICATIONS & TEACHING/RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN ALL THE SUBJECTS OF BROAD SPECIALITIES: A Medical qualification included in the First or Secon Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule of the said Act, shall also fulfill the conditions specified in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Act. aforesaid). A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./M.S./MDS/Ph.D or a recognized qualification

equivalent thereto.
1. Professor : (i) As Associate Professor in the subject concerned fo three years in the recognized medical college/Institute. (After MD/MS 14 years teaching and/or research experience from recognized medical

college/Institute.)
(ii) Minimum of four research publications in Index/national journals out of which 2 research publications must be published during the tenure of the Associate Professor.

OR
As Reader/Associate Professor in the Deptt. for four years in a recognized medical college/Institute. (After MD/MS 14 years teaching and/or research experience from recognized medical college/ Institute.)

Desirable : Minimum of four research publications indexed in Index Medicus/national journal and one
research publication in International Journal. 2. Associate Professor: (i) As Assistant Professor in the concerned subject for four years in a recognized medical college/ Institute. (After MD/MS 6 years teaching and/or research experience from recog medical college/ Institute.) (ii) Minimum of two Research publications in index/national journals during the tenure of the Assistant Professor.

OR
As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the Deptt. for five ears in a recognized medical college. (After MD/MS 6 years teaching and/or research experience from recognized medical college/ Institute.) Desirable : Minimum of four Research publications indexed in index Medicus/national journals.

3. Assistant Professor (i) Recognized postgraduate (MD/MS./MDS/Ph.D) qualific on in the subject. (ii) Three years post PG. teaching and/or research experience from recognized medical college/Institute.

Lecturer : (i) Requisite Recognized postgraduate (MD/MS/MDS/Ph.D) qualification in the subject.


(ii) Three years experience as Tutor/Demonstrator/Resident/Registrar in a recognized medical college/Institute.
