Introduction The goal of al-Athariyyah home school is to provide, in partnership with parents, a solid educational background for its pupils backed with proper Islamic moral and ethical values within the confines of the home insh' Allah. What is al-Athariyyah Al-Athariyyah is from the word al-thr which literally means narrations and in particular Islamic narrations, this includes The Prophets sayings ( Hadith, athar anNabawiyyah), those of the companions (Atharus-Sahabah) etc. When used as alAthariyyu, it is used by Ahluls-Sunnah wal Jammah for those who seek to follow the ways of the Companions who only took from Allah's book (al-Qur'an) and the guidance of the Prophet (). The choice of the name is based on the conviction that what the companions were upon of guidance suffices the Muslims for success in this world and the world hereafter. We should therefore not seek such guidance elsewhere except from the book of Allah (AlQur'an), the Hadith based on the understanding of the companions who lived with him and learnt Islam from him. Conditions of Acceptance 1. The Child/Children must be from Muslim homes or Parents ready to have their children raised by Muslims in conformity with the rules of Islam. 2. The Child at the time of admission must not be below 3 years of age and must not exceed 9 years old, except on special consideration, wherein, the school can arrange for such pupils. In which case they will be considered as special pupils (requiring special schemes). 3. The Child must have been enrolled in a school/Islamiyyah where he memorises the Qur'an as the School emphasis greatly on the memorisation of the Quran. 4. We run a Quran class as a personal arrangement (not as a part of the school programme), the class is free and provision is made for very few number of pupils (at present only 25). Pupils who are unable to get somewhere to memorise are admitted where vacancy exists. 5. The Parents (father and Mother alike) must be of trustworthy characters whose persons will in no way injure the reputation of the school or that of other stakeholders. They must also be ready to work with the saying of the Prophet: "AdDeenu Naseehah Religion is sincerity. This implies being sincere with one another. 6. Stakeholders must be ready to abide by the rules of the school as it affects their children. Any demand other than what is contained in the schools guiding rules can be discussed with the schools director for possible consideration.
