SUMMARY
The attached national league table shows that 74 Approved Premises Chief Officers of Probation
achieved occupancy levels at or above the Service Performance Measure Secretaries of Probation Boards
(SPM) target of 90%. When adjustments are made for those premises which Chairs of Voluntary Management
experienced approved temporary loss of bedspaces, the overall average for Committees
the year was 90.97%. This is testament to the hard work of Approved Approved Premises Managers
Premises staff and management. Adjustments will be made shortly to
financial allocations to Boards and grants to Voluntary Management CC:
Committees to reflect performance against the national occupancy target. Board Treasurers

DICKSON HOUSE - Occupancy adjusted in September due to loss of bedspaces as a result of community disturbances.
QUEENS ROAD - Occupancy adjusted for March due to the refurbishment of two rooms.
FLEMING HOUSE - Occupancy adjusted March to take into account rooms closed for refurbishment.
ADELAIDE HOUSE - Occupancy adjusted for July to September due to refurbishment.
PENNYWELL - Occupancy adjusted for March for agreed operational reasons.
SOUTHVIEW - Occupancy adjusted for November to December due to agreed operational reasons.
ASTRAL GROVE - Occupancy adjusted due to loss of two bedspaces for refurbishment in October, and loss of 7 bedspaces for
refurbishment in March.
QUAY HOUSE - Closure of Cluster property in February - occupancy adjusted for February to March to reflect loss of two bedspaces
NORFOLK PARK - Repairs to cluster/cluster closed, occupancy adjusted August to September, November and January to March.
ROOKWOOD - Occupancy adjusted in July due to the closure of a cluster property for repairs, and between January and March, due to the
closure of a cluster property due to community disturbances.
STAITHEFORD HOUSE - Closed for refurbishment September and October, so presume 90% occupancy.
WENGER HOUSE - Occupancy Adjusted due to refurbishment in March.
THE COTTAGE - Closed for refurbishment April to December - assume 90%.
ST CATHERINES - One bedspace down due to resident with contagious disease, so occupancy adjusted May.
THE CRESCENT - One bed down due to leaking roof, occupancy adjusted November and March.
ABINGDON ROAD - Occupancy adjusted due to accommodation of high risk offender between April and December.
CLARKS HOUSE - Occupancy adjusted to take into account loss of bedspaces when moving from mixed to single gender October,
December and January.
MILTON KEYNES - Occupancy adjusted for a reduction in bedspaces due to staffing problems from December to March.
ST LEONARDS - Occupancy adjusted for a reduction in bedspaces due to refurbishment in January and February.
McINTYRE HOUSE - Closed during October and November due to community disturbances - assume 90%.
ELLIOT HOUSE - Occupancy adjusted for refurbishment of one room in July.
ST JOHNS - Occupancy adjusted for September due to burst water pipe.
WESTGATE - Opened February 2005 - assume 90% February to March.
