Maiocco called the Thirty-First Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall. ROLL CALL SALUTE TO THE FLAG RECORDS The Records of the Meeting of October 4, 2011 were passed to Councillor Lungo-Koehn. MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 11-643-Offered by Councillor Camuso Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council congratulate Medford resident Robert Haynes on his retirement as the President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO where he represented nearly 400,000 employees statewide since 1998. 11-644-Offered by Councillor Marks Be it Resolved that the resident permit parking policy be discussed. 11-645-Offered by Councillor Camuso Be it Resolved that the upcoming Public hearing regarding the potential closing of the West Medford Post Office and the Tufts University Post Office being held on October 12, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Medford Public Library be discussed.

11-646-Offered by Councillor Camuso Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council licensing subcommittee hold a meeting to draft ordinance and licensing criteria regarding the use of stationary/standing food carts throughout the City of Medford. 11-648-Offered by Councillor Penta Be it Resolved that the confusion regarding resident parking stickers be discussed 11-649-Offered by Councillor Penta Be it Resolved that Mayor McGlynn's intentional holding back of the council's requested capital improvement plan be addressed. 11-650-Offered by Councillor Penta Be it Resolved that the Mayor McGlynn proposed new parking garage be discussed regarding the Mayor's recent comments. 11-651-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be it Resolved that the Medford City Council acknowledge and thank the Medford High School Vocational students for repairing the stairs outside of the High School, which were in desperate need of repair. 11-652-Offered by Councillor Lungo-Koehn Be it Resolved that the City of Medford hire a "Ticketing Officer" to work in conjunction with the Building Department and John Bavuso, our code enforcement officer.
