ITINERARY IN DETAIL
Day01 Arrive Srinagar - On to Sonmarg (90 kms / approx. 3 hour drive) Welcome to Srinagar, the lake city. Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, begin your 'Amarnath Yatra by Helicopter' tour. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Proceed on a picturesque drive to Sonmarg "Meadow of Gold". On arrival check into the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure or you can just stroll around the market. Overnight in Sonmarg. (D) Day02 Onto Amarnath Caves via Baltal and Panchtarni After breakfast, proceed on a short drive to the helipad in Baltal Board the helicopter which will take you to Panchtarni (helicopter is subject to weather conditions). Arrive at Panchtarni from where you have to trek approximately 6 kms to the holy caves. (You can hire palki / horses on direct payment). After the Darshan trek back to Panchtarni for your helicopter ride back to Baltal and then drive to Sonmarg. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight in Sonmarg. (B,D) Day03 Onto Srinagar Today you will drive to Srinagar. On arrival, check into your Hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a city tour visiting , the famous Mughal Gardens Chasmashahi, Nishadand Shalimar (closed on Friday). These gardens were where Mughal emperors once relaxed with their exquisite queens and even today are popular picnic spots. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight in Srinagar.(B,D) Day04 Depart Srinagar Transfer from your hotel in Srinagar to Srinagar Airport ( Seat in Coach ).
