AFH-01

The AFH-01-program transfers measuring data from a Sauter force gauge to a computer. The connection is established via a serial cable wich is connected to one of the RS-232 interfaces of the computer (COM1..n). The received measuring values can be saved as XML-file and therefore be imported in every XML compatible software. Most of the functions can be called directly from the Main Menu.
Setup
1. Preparing the Sauter FH 1.a.Connect the gauge with original interface cable to your PC 1.b.Turn on the gauge 2. Preparing the PC 2.a.Start AFH-01 program
How to
Manage serial interfaces
The program displays all the existing PC serial interface. To modify the settings of an interface, you have to choose the icon of the interface and modify the settings (baud rate, parity etc.) in the lower part of the window. If the window for managing the interfaces is not visible, you can show it with the View-Menu Serial interfaces command.

Manage gauges
The program displays all the created devices. In this window you can create new devices, delete devices, change their properties or check the connection to a device. If the window for managing the devices is not visible, you can show it with the View Menu Devices command. 1. Create a new device
Right click for displaying the context menu and choose the New command. 2. Delete a device
Right click mouse on a device icon to display the context menu. Choose the Delete command. 3. Check the connection to the device

Use the Clear data button to remove all received data from the window. Use the Send command button to send the previously defined device command to the device.
1. Choose device from the list of all previously defined devices. 2. Modify the properties of the device and measurement to fit your needs. 3. Switch to measure menu.

receive measurement data from the device. Depending on the device you can send the command which causes the device to send some data. This command can be sent manually or in regular intervals. 2. The measurement data will be displayed in a table and a graphical form. 3. The measurement can be paused and continued. 4. Finally the measurement can be stopped and saved in a file as XML format (File Save).
