Concept description:
The topic of the game is about the pollution of garbage and how to reduce it. The concept of the game is to destroy the Gurdy the Garbage Monster which was created by a nuclear spill that affected a pile of garbage and turned into Gurdy. The players have to destroy Gurdy, by learning how to reduce garbage by using the 3 Rs. Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle. The game set up will consist of a lot of mini videos with small storylines. The videos will link to new videos, linking the player to new videos depending on the choices that the player chooses. Theses videos will be uploaded to youtube and on the videos, there will be annotations. The players will interact in a few ways. They will be clicking on links within the video, this will take them to more videos, they will have the choice to click on a few different links, and depending on the link clicked it will change the outcome of the game. It is competitive because you do not collaborate with different people. It is more of a race to see who can defeat the garbage monster Gurdy. With our format we had no choice but to create a competitive game because YouTube can not be collaborative.

Success criteria
The goal of this project is not only to be a game, but also to teach the players. As they are playing they will be learning at the same time. We will know that this has been successful once the player has completed the game, and have a strong understanding of our topic.

Deliverables
We will deliver these: Project Charter Project Plan Requirements Sprint Plan Instructions and answers on a Facebook page Game Artifacts: The game itself on a YouTube channel 8 different ICT/web 2.0 to present 5-8 or more episodes. Ready playing environment. Burndown charts. Team Evaluation

Presentation

High level summary of requirements

We are going to create a game that teaches the players about reducing garbage through videos that we filmed using a video camera. We are putting the videos on Window Live Movie Maker and edit using Adobe Photoshop. We will add in music from iTunes to add effects to our presentation. Once were done with the videos we will upload the videos to YouTube and have annotations to link the multiple videos together. While were doing all of this we will use Skype to communicate with each other as well as transfer our videos with USB drives if needed. Researching information about garbage pollution: The research is the information we need to tech the players about garbage and how to reduce it using the 3 Rs Recording videos about garbage and how to reduce it.: This is the base of the game and where the players learn about reducing garbage as well as where they interact. Create YouTube channel: Create a YouTube channel to upload the videos. Uploading Videos: Upload the videos to the channel. Creating Facebook page: The page is where the answers are for the game as well as where players can upload their progress and post ideas.

Technology choices and justification

Video Camera: We need video cameras because without a camera we cannot film our project, without filming a project we will have nothing to edit or post on YouTube. Facebook: Facebook is where we will create the page where the players will be able to retrieve the answers. They will also be able to post their progress and ideas. YouTube: We will be using YouTube to share our videos and let the players interact with Gurby the garbage monster by clicking different links that will take you to different videos on our channel. iTunes: We will be using iTunes to add effects with sound. Adobe Photoshop: To edit the video and add effects. Skype: To communicate with each other. USB Drives: To transport are videos and information.

Windows Live Movie Maker: To put together are videos and edit.
