Timco Worldwide Inc., A Leading Watermelon Shipper,

Announces Long-Term Partnership with Dr Eyal Vardi’s
Company, Origene Seeds

Innovation and Focus Position Timco As The Melon Shipper of

Choice for Retailers and Growers

Davis, CA – October 23, 2008 – Timco Worldwide Inc. announces an innovative

partnership with Origene Seeds, whose President, Dr. Eyal Vardi, is one of the
world’s leading seed geneticists, specializing in cucurbits (melons, squash and
cucumbers). This new strategic partnership, combined with Timco’s 23 years of
experience as a melon shipper to retailers throughout the United States and
Canada, significantly strengthens its position as an innovative leader in the area
of Research and Development. Furthermore, Timco anticipates that the results of
this partnership will contribute to category growth. In conjunction with this
partnership, Timco announces a planned move to new Davis, CA headquarters
and R&D campus, complete with seed trialing facilities. The move, combined
with the Origene partnership, supports a committed year-round program that is
focused on better tasting melons and an improved consumer experience. This
will be achieved by focusing not only on traditionally important characteristics
such as brix and pressure (sugar and crunchiness) but also on flavor.

“We are extremely excited to be working with Timco,” said Dr. Eyal A. Vardi, PhD,
President, Origene Seeds. “Timco’s intense focus and expertise with melons in
general, and particularly watermelons, provides us the partner we need to meet
the needs of growers and consumers. This is a collaboration built on
complementary strengths and shared mutual objectives.”

“Our partnership with Origene and our new facilities will enable us to move
quickly and we believe grow the category while at the same time providing our
growers with a sustainable farming business,” said Tim Colin, CEO, Timco
Worldwide Inc. “We listen to our customers, and growers, and have engaged with
consumers. Now we are pioneering an R & D methodology with Origene Seeds
that will enable us to introduce new products that meet and exceed retailers’ and
consumers’ expectations.”
