General Notes
During his spell with Cream, Eric Clapton became one of the greatest guitarists of all time, taking his incredible blues skills from the Bluesbreakers and working with a more freeform rock style involving elements of psychedelia and even jazz. Like all explosive relationships, Cream was short-lived, but without their inuence, rock music would simply not be the same.
Verse
There are two guitar parts in the verse... one plays the relatively simple chord progression, while the other (with wah-wah) plays a complementary single-note line. Notice that this line doesnt just follow the root notes, though. The third note is a B, which is the 3rd of the underlying G chord. Using little details like this can help your riffs sound less predictable and more interesting.
Chorus
The lead guitar takes control here, playing riffs based on the verse part, but with a more open feel.
Bridge
After a second verse, we change the pace a little. Using a Univibe pedal for the gentle wobble, a clean guitar sound plays the repeating arpeggio pattern. To create a thicker sound we doubled this part, but itd work perfectly well with one guitar, especially in a live situation.
Solo
Back to the verse progression for the solo. Were mostly using the D minor pentatonic here (D F G A C) with the addition of the B (the major 6th) in one lick.
