Egypt the seventeenth state

Abstract Among numerous publications and books that were written to illustrate the theory and effects of globalization, you can hardly find one coherent paper discussing the results of globalization on a complete model of a specific nation, where you easily can imagine the theoretical explanations in physical tangible examples. Globalization can be identified as The significant reduction of the transport and communication costs, the elimination of artificial borders away from goods, services and floating capital [1]. What may drive a country to be subjected to ultimate effects of globalization at all national aspects? Most developing countries are affected directly and indirectly with influences of developed nations through the globalization mechanisms, but in most cases you cant find a real example for a full surrender of one country to a complete invasion of globalization drifts. This essay is discussing the globalization effects through creating an example based on fiction scenario. We will observe the practical changes that would happen for a country like EGYPT having a specific complex social, ethical, economical, legitimate, and political life patterns when it reaches the ultimate effect of globalization after voluntarily union with the other 16 states (bundeslands) of GERMANY, the country which has the world's fourth largest economy by nominal GDP and the fifth largest by purchasing power parity. Along this fiction study, many facts of the current status of both societies, the Egyptian and German, will be subjected to extreme changes in order to show the deep meanings and analytical outcomes of such imaginary globalization process. Fiction Begins The story begins in the year 2020 after 9 years of the Egyptian first revolution on 25th of January, after a hard decade, the nation encountered various kinds of political disorder and financial crises, the newly elected Egyptian president called the people for a public referendum about joining the German flag after extensive negotiations with German official committee that had been working on the design of this transformation process long years ago. The results of this historical voting came positive and the German nation welcomed finally the new added state, Egypt, the seventeenth state. Political Transformation The first challenge appeared for the two sides responsible for the transformation was the way they are going to influence the public and establish for this process. Controlling the general population has always been a dominant concern of power and privilege, particularly since the first modern democratic revolution in seventeenth-century England [2]. During years of thought conduction through open public media channels and enthusiastic civic organizations, transformation planners managed to make advantage of the successive negative reformations

occurred for the Egyptian nation along the hard years of political chaos, people were able at that time to reject various political models that were built upon fanatical ideologies and reactionary regimes. The public opinion was ready to receive an extreme approach that only offers them realistic absolute analysis of how to put the country on the course towards tangible development and growth. The same change tools were used once more. It was the same as the beginning of the second decade of this century, when a wave of political revolutions spread globally from the radical style at most of Middle-Eastern countries, to the light style of wall-street demonstrations. Internet and youth power were utilized this time to market new concepts inside their nations, to furnish the path of a common acceptance for this innovative style of policy creation. Basically, political environment was founded on a solid legitimate basis that created new definition of citizenship based on constitutional changes. Law redefined citizenship, in the exact opposite manner to what happened at the Republic of German-Austria disunity ... there was long the chance that Austria would become part of the newly founded German empire; once it was not, it was also clear that the German people would be defined as excluding the Austrians. The latter shows already the extent to which citizenship is a function not (at least not primarily) of culture or ethnicity, but instead of the law. [7]. Egyptian constitution allowed a legal pluralism system that gives broader space for delegation of lawmaking powers to supranational institutions , side by side to transnational laws that replaced the concept old of methodological nationalism. Constitution adopted the concept of new sovereignty that accept various non-state and social norms resulting of the intersection with a different community. Afterwards, Egyptian state politicians were exposed to a critical quest to create the seventeenth state political performance that can pursue a successful integration into the German policy. There were four strategies [3] adopted nationally to satisfy this purpose. The first was the right infrastructure to connect more people from the new state with Germany and Europe especially and internationally. Projects persuaded cheap Internet bandwidth and mobile phones to modern airports and roads. Then was the wide alternation required in Egyptian educational system. Theories derived from German researches were used, it aimed to utilize the large Egyptian youth population eager for high education society enabling them to innovate and collaborate on the flat-world platform. Next was the right governance, at top priority came the improvements in the bureaucracy quality, recreation of the fiscal policy and magnifying the rule of law. Fourth, the struggle to sustain environmental policies that could attract skilled professionals and cooperations willing to invest in the Egyptian economy and fill the gap between Egyptian level of environmental standards and the other German states from the green areas to the amount of hydrocarbon emissions. Egypt was paving the way through a great political integration guided by the Irish experience in joining the EU, at late 1960s [3], the State policy was to make use of their competitive advantage compared to the other 16 states concentrating on the key factors the Irish have used, the energy

level, the work ethic, the tax optimization, and the flexibility of the labor supply", as illustrated by Harry Kraemer Jr*. Policies chased the task of keeping flexible labor laws, while preserving a well-educated and productive labor at low prices, taking advantage of the concept described by John Chamber**. The jobs are going to go where the best-educated workforce is with the most competitive infrastructure and environment for creativity and supportive government. It is inevitable. And by definition those people will have the best standard of living. This may or may not be the countries who led the Industrial Revolution Cultural and Social Patterns Is Egypt ready enough to participate in a full integration process? , that was the next race, in another term, it was questioned whether the Egyptian culture was able to adopt glocalization tools. Egyptian society was well known to accept foreigners and to develop better perspectives when interfacing with different cultures, being a country that attracted multiple conquerors back in history and high tourism destinations in modern ages. Still there was some work to be done to reach a stable social integration. Many German strategies were applied to market culture reforms into the Egyptian society. Direct means used channels like internet networks, while indirectly more incentives for free people transfer between Egypt and Germany was promoted, support was offered for both local NGOs working on integration activities, and the transnational companies affecting the social life styles of Egyptians. Youth communities initiatives functioned as cultural engagement engines for both societies. Intercultural NGOs with mutual interests was shaped. It was charged with the power of incorporated youth who shared similar motives and concerns. They worked on dual projects to raise awareness of common challenges of both societies and propose solutions using agreed methodologies. After years of such cooperation, the people found themselves affected culturally and socially by those NGOs, they became aware of common life styles of each other and accepting the idea of a global community, the globalization of community allows for the development of transnational solidarities between different groups in development, often the marginalized such as minorities, indigenous people, or other groups that are oppressed or otherwise have their traditional values undermined by modern progress. [4] It became popular for Egyptian families to have German youth visitors helping them with their life problems, it was normal for many Germans to know a lot about the common Egyptian cultural complexity, and it becomes regular for most Egyptian volunteers to understand the way German used to judge social problems. Applied openness policies gave the opportunity for Transnational companies (TNCs) to exchange same attractive products available at both countries between existing markets The globalization of culture and the media has been strongly stimulated by the expansion of TNCs in general and the communications revolution in particular [5]., whether they were food, clothing, music or television programs, People were no more limited to access same kinds of desired goods and services, what then triggered a reversed impact on economic Also important was the increased cultural homogeneity of the world that stimulated demands for imports and travel on the part of local populations in developing countries. Ethical Properties Global citizenship, the idea of creating universal ethics [4] that would be accepted between different populations was a key player in the transformation process, But if we look at the modern world we can see how modern communication and the emergence of global civil society has given a particular social and political expression to global citizenship and thus made it more likely that people will take up the perspective which has always been available to human beings [4] . What kind of ideas was broadcasted to the public mind to convert feelings of being foreigner to new places into living as a worldwide inhabitant? If you made the people in all the 17 states to believe in the same tradition of Good Life without losing the cultural diversity, then you could title equal citizenship integration. When the Egyptian movies started to develop different happy endings for its stories, another life achievements for films stars, a new understanding of how a good wife, home, and job could be, when advertisement in streets are showing to local Egyptians how attractive is it to travel by tram (Straenbahn) or to raise a pet in your home. The people started to have another taste of good life that could be easily shared with the other 16 German states. In addition, Using the increasing development of technological aids , allowed advanced flow of information concerning various public interest topics from sport news to political encounters, what built a secure bridge of ethics between both societies, bringing closer the creation of one community as illustrated by Nigel Dower; On the other hand ethical values are among the ideas that get transmitted across the world, and this fact helps both with the constitution of global community (or the various communities which collectively make up global community) and the acceptance of a global ethic of some kind.. Economic and Industrial Alterations Financial integration helped the growth of Egyptian economics through a group of interrelated channels, while the industrial organizations led by the Transnational Companies (TNCs) used their privileged access to the latest advances in new technologies, to shape the face of the Egyptian industry. In contrast some fears of reversed negative impacts appeared on the surface made the mangers of the financial integration process more cautious. Major direct channels [6] drew a new financial picture resulted from joining the economic network of Germany, Egyptian economy effectively improved a reduction in the risk-free interest rate which came as a result from higher capital flow from German investors who made use from higher return on capital than it was at the other 16 states. While capital flows were increasing in Egypt, the domestic stock market became more and more liquid reducing the equity risk premium and lowering the cost of raising capital for investment. From other point of view the risk-sharing opportunities between local Egyptian and German investors increased encouraging firms to take on more total investment enhancing growth. Also such environment attracted foreign direct investments combined with high technology transfer and improved management practices. Finally the entry of the German banks facilitated a wider access to international financial markets and radical regulation in domestic banking industry framework in a competitive environment, which, in turn, can improve the quality of domestic financial services.

The industrial organizations were ready to score the highest advantages of the results of integration, at both sides plans were designed by giant and small investors to reserve a beneficiary spot of the lately established industrial system, but they didnt notice that they themselves were main factors of the process. Groups of Transnational Companies (TNCs) [5], led the Egyptian industry revolution using technological tools like transportation, communications, electronics, robotization of production lines, or soft areas such as just in time management techniques, resulting in a new formation of production facilities, supply chains and developed industries on the Egyptian land. On the contrary, some fears appeared while planning for the financial integration that required some preventive actions to avoid its negative impacts. The consumption volatility came on the top list of fears as an expected result from a supposed weak domestic government, If capital flows are extremely volatile, they can stimulate growth in the short run, but such growth will be offset by recessions due in part to capital flight. Capital flows also make it more difficult for governments to carry out stable macroeconomic policies, which in turn contribute to the volatility of growth. [5], governmental economic leaders designed a set of preconditioned sets that would limit such worries of volatility and would put partial limits to the flow of cash. Other kinds of fears appeared for many traditional Egyptian investors who were forced to cope with more straight business building techniques, to let go of monopoly strategies they were used to practice and to accept a new agreement on labor rights and work ethics that satisfy Egyptians deserved human dignity demands. Conclusion Through this journey, we were able to develop a picture of how the developing Egypt corresponded to that intensive exposure to globalization. Global factors influenced public mindset towards revolutionary political transformation strategies based on inevitable improvements in law system, socially the youth organization and TNCs played the major role to recreate common culture that adopted global understanding, Also the changes in good life taste combined with the expansion exchange of information altered community ethics, and finally on economic advancement through direct investments channels, and activity levels of industrial organizations. To Conclude, I came to an analytical understanding, between all researches about pros and cons of globalization, I can see globalization as an inevitable human evolution process, that will go bad with any indolent nations afraid of being exposed to competitive world community, and will go great with every nation ready to learn, cooperate, excel and innovate interdependently with global success partners.
