PART A Describe in general how IT is utilized in the domain of your choice, focusing on the hardware, software and networking

equipment being utilized, and explain how the latest advancements in this domain area are aided by the use of IT. Information technology are using in variety of field and industries in this generation. It plays a huge role. For an example medical, pharmaceutical, education, media, advertising and more. Here we choose advertising as our domain and how it is utilized in advertising. Advertising in the sense that Information technology has made the world a global village, thus connecting countries to countries, people far away with each other via the use of the internet .While advertising on the other hand refers to reaching out to people in other to get a purchase or a sale. It also literally means telling a story about your product or service to the public. Nowadays advertising does not need to reach out to people via papers, radio, television stations to untargeted audience and expensive audience anymore, when one can do the same via targeted database marketing and web based marketing which is not as expensive as the traditional means of advertising. Computer software of software is a collection of certain programs and other related data and information that provides instructions to a computer telling it what to do. Software used in advertising is application software. This type of software allows its user to perform and accomplish a certain task. Moreover, it allows its end user to produce an output. The task may range from image editing, word processing, decision making and more. Publicity software is usually made and used for the manufacture and running of banner ads and as well as other printed ads. The best software for advertising depends on the need of its use. Most common software used by advertising agency are Adobe Photoshop QuarkXPress, Autodesk Maya, Abode Flash, Corel DRAW Computer-aided design (CAD), Adobe Premiere, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effect.

Talking about hardware, Computer hardware refers to the physical elements that make up a computer system. There are many different kinds of hardware that can be installed inside, and connected to the outside, of a computer. Hardware that installed inside the computers are Motherboard, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Random Access Memory (RAM), Power Supply, Video Card, Hard Drive (HDD), Solid-State Drive (SSD), Optical Drive (e.g. BD/DVD/CD drive) and Card Reader (SD/SDHC, CF, etc.) and some common hardware that connected to the outside of a computer are Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Battery Backup (UPS), Printer and Speakers. Hardware that installed to the computers that use Microsoft windows are managed by Device Manager. This is to keep the hardware in proper conditions. Networking equipment is network hardware that connected to the outside of a computer. This equipment may help people in advertising area to accomplish their work with more effective. Most common hardware used in advertising are LCD Advertising Player/Display, LCD Digital Signage Display, integration interactive floor player, Bluetooth Proximity Advertising Hardware (PRO WIFI) and more. Networking equipment is network hardware that connected to the outside of a computer. This equipment may help people in advertising area to accomplish their work with more effective. Networking equipment is equipment used to connect computers and other electronic devices so that they may exchange information such as a gateway, bridges, switches and routers. Access points are transmitter / receivers (transceivers) that connect to a network through an interface such as a bus or connector. They receive, store, and transmit data between the wireless LAN and the wired structure. Blade servers are self-contained servers embedded in computer boards. Channel service units (CSU) and data service units (DSU) are digital interface devices that connect end user data communications equipment to digital access lines. They also provide framing of sub-64 kbps customer access channels onto higher rate data circuits. Examples of networking equipment are Access points, Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, Satellite communications equipment. One of the latest advancements in this advertising area is short messaging services (sms) mobile advertising. Nowadays, it is getting more popular and convenient. Businessman has adopted this type of advertising method to spread information, details or services on a big scale through worldwide. This is an effective and a very successful method to expand certain business.

PART C Identify a particular hot trend in IT today (for e.g. social networking applications, cloud computing, mobile computing, and telecommuting) and explain how this trend will affect the use of IT in the domain of your choice: and vice versa.

Social communities are where people are. Social media is also interactive. Traditional advertising has not had this kind of interactive ability and for a lot of advertisers it is intimidating to them. Advertisers now need to be transparent and responsive to their audience because social media empowers people in a new way. The podiums to reach the audience have changed. We are living in the times of the biggest and fastest changes in the way people communicate and interact. SMM is a group of operations and methods used to generate publicity through social media channels and Internet communities. Social media advertising is the planning and executing of advertising campaigns through those channels. The reason that the face of marketing is changing so severely is that the marketers understand that they need to go wherever the clients are. The fact is that the clients are hanging out in the online social communities. Currently, advertising on Facebook can be a bit of a minefield. We at Silicon Beach directed a survey into opinions on Facebook advertising and the results are largely quite damning. Many years ago, adverts run by Google started showing up on web pages in essentially every country in the world. Even today, Google certainly do not make much of a song and dance about their Google Ads, desiring instead to allow them to merger into the pages on which they show up. They have done very handsomely out of it too. As many businesses will testify, a well-run ad campaign through Googles pay-per-click advertising can really help a company to develop, especially with its easy-to-use analytical programs that have the ability to place these ads. It makes it straightforward for businesses to see just how productive these adverts are for them and to make prompt decisions that can cost or earn millions. The first thing to note about Facebook advertising is that it is easy to use, the administration is forthright and the targeting is finely tweaked. Secondly, and just as importantly, it is reachable to everyone and you do not need a big budget to start a pay per click campaign. Facebook will allow you to target potential clients through the use

of keyword directing and this is an attractive part of the package. You can also focus on individual countries too, so you know that your product or page is being seen by the right people. Theres no doubt that social media advertising works, but caution is essential if you want it to work well for you. Know your market, get a strong understanding of the online social behavior of your potential customers and you should be able to use social media advertising to draw them to you. Just dont rely on one network, rather use a whole range together to make sure that you are wrapper all the bases. Check in a few times a day to screen development and make sure your accounts are up-to-date and relevant to current inclinations for best success. Thirdly is much more cheap compare to typical way of advertising. More over companies can set advertising compatible with mobile computing. This is because most people are using mobile to surf internet. It much easier rather than caring a laptop or immovable pc computer. Social network`s levels the playing field to some extent. Instead of spending upwards to acquire app users, social media gives all developers, regardless of their size or financial resources, the ability to build an watchers over time. If used correctly, social media can help app developers generate an army of fans whose promotional strength and word-of-mouth can rival even the largest mobile advertising campaign. There are some app developers use IT as their main option to advertise their app in social networks. This also a hot and current trend in IT field, social networks to advertise their app and attract people to use it. Tricks were as follows:Keep your tone personal and human Many app developers are nervous about managing Facebook or Twitter communities because of their lack of formal marketing training; they often wonder if they have the communications skills and writing ability to switch these tasks themselves. Even if you're not a natural wordsmith, don't feel intimidated by the prospect of speaking to your users via social media. App developers' lack of formal marketing experience can actually be a benefit: social media success often goes to people who are good at "being real" rather than being a silver-tongued spokesperson. Instead of trying to pick the right words or trying to sound "bigger than you are," grip the fact that you are a small creator. Be yourself. Share your thirst for your app, be generous to your audience (by acknowledging them for following you and by punctually responding to their feedback,

questions and ideas) and make clear that your social media efforts are in service of generating better apps for your customers, not "getting famous" for its own sake. Automate where and what you can You need to have a human voice and respond to your users' questions and ideas promptly and authenticallybut you don't have to allow social media to take up too much of your time and effort every day. A lot of great tools are available to help you automate your social media activity. For example, Hootsuite is a social media management tool that enables you to schedule your Facebook and Twitter posts in advance. If you get a bunch of great ideas for social media content, you can save them and space them out in Hootsuite so they publish once every day or two. Tools like Hootsuite are a great way to stay on a regular publishing schedule and maximize your time, without having to log into Facebook every single day while still giving your users a consistent flow of new content. Take a "value first" approach to content Many app developers make the mistake of using social media as just another way to make a sales pitch and implore more downloadsbut people didn't join your Facebook community to be "sold to." They joined your community because they have a genuine interest in your app and what it representsmost likely, FUN. If people take the time to "Like" your Facebook page, that's a big deal: they want to interact with you and your app's "brand," beyond merely downloading an app. So cherish these relationships and continue people's trustinstead of trying to "sell, sell, sell" all the time, focus on adding value to your audience's experience with your app. Content that adds value and helps users solve problems and distracts them is the way to go; for example: tips and tricks, relevant articles about your app or your subject matter, jokes, video content, contests, funny photos, and anything else that might educate, enlighten and brighten people's day. It's OK to use Facebook to make requests ("please download this," for example) but you should only make requests sparingly. Make sure to "give" more than you "get" from your social media community. Experiment with Facebook advertising for your community

Once you have set up a Facebook page for your app (or your app development company), you can experiment with Facebook advertising for as little as a few dollars a day. Facebook advertising works on a pay-per-click or pay-per-action model (where you only pay every time someone new "Likes" your Facebook page). The biggest thing to keep in mind with Facebook advertising is that you need to make sure to target your ads. For example, you can target your Facebook ads so that people only see your ad if one of their friends has already "Liked" your page, or by targeting people with specific interests (if you make an app that is a sci/fi or fantasy game, you can target fans of these genres who have expressed an interest in these topics as part of their Facebook profiles). Facebook advertising for mobile app developers doesn't have to be expensive; if managed properly, you can achieve a cost per connection as low as $0.10 for many apps. Remember, the goal here isn't to acquire a bigger Facebook audience just for the sake of being "famous." The goal is to find people who are predisposed to engage with your app, and eventually to convert them to paying customers from your community. Embrace and encourage user-generated content One of the first rules of social media publicizing is that "it's not a monologue, it's a dialogue": you don't have to create all of the pleased yourself. Reduce your workload by encouraging your users to post their own fan art, videos, comments, evaluations and other content. You can run contests and offer incentives to get people to participate in sharing their ideas and creating contentbut be aware of Facebook's content rules to make sure that any competitions that you run comply with the site's terms and conditions. Read the Facebook Page guidelines, section III E., "Promotions." Tell people what you want them to do Community members have a tendency to follow your lead. After all, they chose to "Like" your page for a reason; chances are that they respect your sentence and want to be part of your "movement," whatever that may be. So, if you want your Facebook fans to take action, go ahead and ask them to do so. If you want them to "Like" a post, say, "Like this post if you love the new features we've added to our app" or "Do you want us to release a new level sometime soon? Tell us more!" If you want people to share a post with their friends, say: "Please share this post to help spread the word about our new app, coming out soon" If your audience likes you and

trusts you because of the ongoing value that you provide to them, they will be happy to help youbut you need to ask.. This is what happening currently in IT field especially in Social networks in advertisements. Social networks plays a very lead role in advertising because in this era almost every kid to elderly people, everyone spends their almost half day in any social networks. This is why advertising the apps, product or services via social network is much effective way compared to other conventional way.
