Project Name Start Date MAX USA Technology Migration Project July 2012 Team Size End Date 5 January2013

The objective of the MAX USA Technology Migration Project is to replace the existing MAX process and achieve the following: Use New Technology: Most of the code in the current MAX application system is in Assembler Language. This will be replaced with code written using Ab Initio. The MAX infrastructure, the user interface, as well as application support, will be replaced using .NET based GUI screens and supported by an oracle database for the purpose of storing data. Remove Redundancy: Since the current application has evolved over a

Description

period of about 30years, there is a high possibility of redundant code. With the new application, this will not be the case. Easily Understandable and Structured Code: The new application is being created in such away that all logical objects will be dealt with at the same time with structured code. Enhance Productivity: Newer and faster technology, with minimum redundant code, structured logically will be a major factor contributing towardsimproved productivity.

Ab initio developer. Developing Ab Initio graphs as per the business requirements. Worked with all major ab initio components like partition, departition, transform, database. Performed thorough testing like unit, integration and regression before migrating into Testing environment Involved in the preparation of technical design documents Involved in the code walkthrough for the developed graphs.

Description

To Fix the Greg Primary Market Issue on EBTA Online Statements. Existing process extracts the CountryLangauge Codes from CMR Tables and generates the Report Ready Email Format required by Cheetah mail to deliver the email Notifications to Recipients. The GIDM tables are not getting properly updated along with the recent activity of Recipients due to this incorrect email notifications are being generated there by effecting Customer Satisfaction. Fixed this issue by extracting the Primary Market information from Greg

Worked with Partition Components like Partition by Range, Partition by Round Robin, and Partition by Expression efficient use of Multifile System, which comes under Data Parallelism. Performing Transformations of source data with Transform Components like Replicate, Reformat, Filter-by-Expression, Rollup etc. Role & Contribution Used Lookups with Reformat Component to fetch matching records based on for the downstream process. Worked with Departition Components like Gather, Merge which will be used for adding the files which is done partition for fast process of data files. Worked in a Sandbox environment while extensively interacting with EME to maintain version control on objects. Unit testing of new and existing Graphs. Currently AMEX has three thousands of servers in US (two cities).Main server in Phoenix and back/disaster recovery server in SFO or New York.So as part of this all the hardcoded I.P address are getting changed to server name. Basically AMEX is planning to move all its servers to a secure location which Description will not be known to anyone. This is as a part of security reason. So currently in Amex the one of the top most projects is DC-2015. In this different teams are working on their application changes .

Role & Contribution

Worked with Partition components like partition by range, Partition by Round Robin, partition by Expression efficient use of Multifile system which comes under Data Parallelism. Performing transformations of source data with Transform components like Replicate, Denormalize, Redefine, Reformat, Filter-by-Expression, Rollup etc. Used Lookups with Reformat component to fetch matching records based on for the down stream process. Used Sort component to sort the tables, and used Dedup Sort to remove duplicate values. Used Rollup component to populate monthly, quarterly and annual summary tables. Used Data Parallelism, Pipeline Parallelism and Component Parallelism in Graphs, where huge data files are partitioned into multifiles and each segment is processed simultaneously. Worked in a sandbox environment while extensively interacting with EME to maintain version control on objects. Sandbox features like checkin and checkout were used for this purpose. Worked with departition components Gather, Merge which will be used for add the files which is done partition for fast process of data files. Used Ab Initio Components like Sort, Partition, Rollups, Reformat and Merge to build complex graphs.
