Uganda is located in the East African Region. The Economy; Current growth is 7.2% Before 1986,Economy with Government Parastatals. 1986 onwards Liberalization and Privatization programs in the following sectors; Energy, Telecommunications, Banking, Other industries. In the Transport sector; Rail and Land privatized

Yet to handle the Air and Water sub sector. New PPP Law: Cabinet approved Bill, Next to be tabled before Parliament, PPP Secretariat will be under Privatization Unit of Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development. Oil Discovery; Expectations for Commercial production and Refinery. Improved Traffic Stability and growing tourism.

Aviation industry in Uganda


Under Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) since 1991. CAA currently handles Aviation Regulation, Air Navigation, and Airport Operations. One main International Airport Entebbe Int. Airport (EIA) Other 13 Aerodromes distributed countrywide.

CAA preparing a 20-Year Master Plan (20122032) Proposed projects to be handled under PPP; Construction of the Domestic Terminal Rehabilitation /upgrading of runway Remodeling and expansion of existing Terminal building
