Having distributed the aforementioned blast, its easier to address the strategic issues facing the GOP, based

upon both what has been noted nationally and what transpired locally; this will necessarily be an incomplete recitation of key-points, inasmuch as it is preferable [in this format] to remain fact-laden. Nevertheless, the necessity to mobilize resources during the dog-days-of-August couldnt be greater, and the pathway that must be implemented within PA appears to have become greatly clarified. A few points that emerged on Facebook during the past two hours are first selectively cited. This is the viewpoint of Dr. Sherkoh Abbas [Kurdistan National Assembly of Syria] regarding both his recommended book and his recommended actions: It is important for the United States, Europe, and others to remove their protection from and stop ignoring the actions of such oppressive regimes as that of the Arab nationalist Baath in Syria and support democracy advocates there, in Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, the Sudan, Algeria, and elsewhere. Mr. Honigmans book argues in detail for just such a solution. It presents a look at justice in the region from a much broader perspective than the view that is so prevalent today, which only addresses the Arab cause. First note hyperlinks documenting Foreign Policy failures to confront Islamism [demonstrating the futility of BHOs entire approach to diplomacy], recapitulating points already detailed in these blasts: BHO-releases-5-top-taliban-terrorists-from-gitmo-in-good-will-gesture-to-the-taliban, judge-pirrotorches-us-foreign-policy-says-BHO-bitch-slapped-by-putin, A Palestinian State is Double Fraud, syrianjihad-violence-emptying-entire-christian-towns, BHO-wants-to-rerun-1948-ethnic-cleansing-of-jews, labor-released-lockerbie-bomber-in-exchange-for-libya-buying-british-air-defense-system, nigerianpastor-claims-islamic-supremacists-have-declared-open-season-on-nigerias-christians, pardon-revokedfor-all-jihadis-granted-amnesty-under-morsi, muslim-brotherhood-scapegoating-coptic-christians-asprincipal-actor-behind-morsis-removal, muslim-cleric-who-groped-aussie-women-claims-culturalmisunderstanding, memphis-imam-yasir-qadhis-vicious-jew-hatred, seattle-officials-call-for-ban-onpotentially-offensive-language, and public-schools-in-florida-teaching-muhammad-is-gods-messenger. Overview Among other points made in the second part of his interview [honoring 25 years of broadcast excellence] with Greta, Rush claimed [inter alia] Modern Liberalism Is a Series of Lies. The challenge, therefore, is to strategize regarding how they may be exposed. It is noted that Politico kills with faint praise when it claims a fellow-traveler, glenn-beck, has a growing-empire-in the absence of any incresed-influence; on the same day, Glenn Beck claimed We Are On The Verge Of Taking Over The Republican Party. So, which is it? As was noted when Rubio attempted to curry favor with Conservatives [by introducing the 20-week Abortion bill and, now, by concurring that ObamaCare must be defundedafter he had championed amnesty], McCain is now trying to rehab himself by turning to the right [gratuitously, noting his prior rant about Whacko-Birds] when he pronounced Rand Paul and Ted Cruz as Viable Presidential Candidates. Indeed, immediately after he brought the house down in New Orleans [as was noted on the video and as Guzzardi confirmed while in the room], Cruz joined his two colleagues [in the effort to defund ObamaCare] in another venue: senators-lee-cruz-and-paul-inspire-young-libertarians-atnational-yal-conference. So, what of it?

Meanwhile, as BHOs scandal-sheet raised concern regarding whether the national-security-apparatus is trustworthy, a former-cia-operative-said-john-brennan-is-a-bully-of-the-first-order and Benghazi-Gate exploded with new cover-up revelations, some repackaged, some with fresh angles: benghazi-cover-upby-the-cia, rep-gowdys-explosive-claim-obama-admin-is-changing-names-of-benghazi-survivors-anddispersing-them-around-the-country-to-keep-them-hidden, benghazi-witnesses-forced-into-silencenew-concerns-over-terror-attack, former-muslim-brotherhood-member-tells-us-what-the-governmentwont-about-the-terror-attack-in-benghazi, no-more-benghazi-bs-here-is-the-truth, and if-benghazisno-scandal-why-Jake-Tapper-probes-potential-cover-up. So, where is it?

ObamaCare as Spark-Plug: If-You-Fund-It-You-Own-It. The which/what/where constants may be addressed as the who/why/how variables are delineated. Specifically, it is averred that the establishment-GOP is going to be assaulted nationally by motivated Conservatives by focusing on defunding ObamaCare and interlacing references to BHOs scandal-sheet. The TEA [Taxed Enough Already] Party Movement is mobilizing, the pervasive fear is that the GOP is barely in-touch with the base, and the fever-pitch energies of 2010 will be released with abandon. Rationalizations for procrastination are easily swatted-away, as the ambient threat against those who ran against ObamaCareand voted repeatedly [symbolically, alas, in-vain] to repeal itwill simply be, FAILURE TO SUPPORT DEFUNDING OBAMACARE WILL PROMPT CONSERVATIVES TO PRIMARY YOU!!! There are a number of well-liked congress-people who have absorbed much of the verve/vitality of those in the TPM [TEA Party Movement], but exasperation in some quarters may be difficult to quell. It is argued it will fail on its own, both with the initiation of expensive/unwieldy/ill-prepared exchanges and the inability to sign-up youth; the former will be resolvable as people arent required to document claims of poverty [and then, reflexly, receiving $-support of as much as 75% of their premiums] and the latter will be supplemented by Fed-$...all to occur prior to 14-electionsmuting potential rebellion. Indeed, even as it has just been learned that Businesses cannot avoid ObamaCare by switching to parttime staff and the cheapest-ObamaCare-is-twice-as-costly-as-existing-plans, incremental adjustments will be made as BHO implements/ignores based upon executive discretion [noting that the former wont be mandated for another year and the latter can be portrayed to the low-info-voter as a heinouslyselected claim by those evil-Republicans]. It wont even matter that innovations are occurring overseas, such as when indias-walmart-of-heart-surgery-cuts-the-cost-by-98%. Politically, one need only note how Conservatives-Challenged-McConnell-to-Defund-ObamaCare by invoking the above-restated slogan: If-You-Fund-It-You-Own-It. As Kentucky Senate candidates tested

their mettle at rowdy Fancy Farm picnic and mcconnell claimed i-take-kentuckys-fight-to-the-liberalsevery-single-day, Sensing McConnell could be defeated, challengers are trying to unseat this veteran Republican leader. It is no accident that squishy-Republican Collins tore into ObamaCare during Republican address, that Cornyn [noting his prior mendacity] called on Senate to block IRS role in ObamaCare, that GOP senators demanded answers from White House on ObamaCare promotion, or even that the House voted 232-185 to keep-irs-from-implementing-ObamaCare. This is not mollifying anybody, for Grassroots-pressure-working-as-majority-of-House-GOP-wants-todefund-ObamaCare-in-September. Some may claim that GOP should push delay of individual mandate in shutdown fight [like Norquist, who is rapidly losing his cred], and BHO can claim Shutting down the government won't help middle class [yeah, just like the Sequester proved disastrous, eh?]. No, the bottom-line is that the battle-lines have been drawn, as per each/every pixel in the Breitbart-hyperlink [supra]: Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA) told Breitbart News on Friday that a majority of House Republicans have now signed onto his legislation to defund Obamacare in the upcoming Continuing Resolution (CR), passing a threshold that meets the informal Hastert Rule that requires a majority of the majority to support legislation before it comes up for a vote. Well it sends a real strong message, Graves said of the reaching the milestone during a phone interview on Friday morning. I think as of yesterday we had 121 cosponsors. Thats a very rapid growth of cosponsoring, including House leadership such as Lynn Jenkins, signing onto the bill this week." "So, we have the majority of the majority that meets the Hastert Rule," he explained. "Well see if those numbers continue to grow. Members have come up to me even this morning asking if they could sign on and where would they go to do that. I think were going to see the momentum continue. In fact, since the interview Graves conducted with Breitbart News on Friday morning, the bill picked up yet another cosponsor and is up to 122. Since there are 234 GOP members in the House, a total of 117 cosponsors are needed for any piece of legislation to cross the threshold to meet the Hastert Rule. Graves credits a lot of the success thus far to the grassroots and Tea Party movement, which has been helping pressure members of Congress to get in the fight. The defund Obamacare bill Ive introduced this year, along with the Senate sponsor Ted Cruz, its really been exciting to watch the momentum thats been building over the past several weeks and months, Graves said. The president himself is wanting to delay portions of his own healthcare initiative. The big question Americans are asking right now is why should have to pay for it?" "The momentum has been incredible and there are more cosponsors every day," he continued. "Whats really been exciting is the activity from Americans all across the country through Facebook and Twitter and all their social networking, its a big issue right now. Were at a pivotal point in which our main focus is protecting the American family from this destructive law.

Graves said the reason why it is important to attach any Obamacare defunding mechanism to the upcoming CR, which funds government operations, is because this is the last chance the GOP has to take down Obamacare before the health insurance exchanges are built in October and the individual mandate and exchange subsidies start in January. It actually mirrors what weve been doing in Appropriations. As a member of the Appropriations Committee, Ive been a strong advocate for using the power of the purse, Graves added about the process. Its been a very open and transparent process, and in every bill weve moved through the committee, weve eliminated the funding for the implementation and enactment of Obamacare. Graves said that grassroots activists need to turn the heat up and keep the pressure on heading into the August recess. Theres never been a more important time than in going into this August recess for Americans to begin sharing their stories with their members of Congress or with the media or through social networking of how this law has impacted them, he said. There a lot of stories we hear from our district where individuals hours have been cut. They were full time up until a week or two ago. Now theyve been cut down to part time hour in order for the businesses to comply with the law," Graves said. "These stories need to be shared. If they see their premiums rising, we know its happening here, we need to hear those stories. If theyve seen their insurance canceled or that its not going to be available, share that. He said now is "a fantastic time for the American people to share their stories about how Obamacare hurts them, adding that the president appears more interested in protecting big business special interests than he does in helping ordinary working Americans. It appears the president has had a lot of influence on him, or persuasion from, the business community, Graves said. Hes taking care of them not only through the delay of the employer mandate but also the waivers that hes provided to a lot of them. Hes leaving hard-working Americans to feel the full blunt of this law.

A sudden blizzard of #dontblink tags is coming from RedState Gathering folks today.

Its because of something that Ted Cruz said during his speech at the Gathering today. He was asked how conservatives should hold firm on defunding ObamaCare. Noted were concerted countervailing efforts by the media and other Democratic interest groups.

His response was, unsurprisingly, Dont blink.

So the Democrats yell, and rant, and attack. They will, anyway; and this issue is one of principle. We expect the President will stand to his principles. Why should the Republican Party be expected to deny their principles?
