Description of KCI General KCI is a company firmly rooted in the oil and gas & renewable industries. KCIs concepts include Front End Engineering Design (FEED), full Greenfield design and the life extension of Brownfields. Using the expertise and experience KCI gained in the oil and gas industry, KCI expanded their services to the Renewable industry and for Complex Structures. Work process In collaboration with both the client and, at a later stage, the subcontractors, KCI researches the best designs, the most suitable materials and appropriate suppliers for each individual design. KCI supervises this whole process, while providing recommendations and support where necessary. To strengthen our Hydrodynamics Department we are looking for a Head of Department Hydrodynamics. As a Head of Department Hydrodynamics you are responsible for and contribute actively to the further development of the (hydro)dynamic services for the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy markets. Tasks and Responsibilities Concept analysis of floating structures and operations; Stability calculations (optionally); Mooring analysis Offshore transport analysis and bollard pull calculations; Simulations for offshore operations; General hydrodynamic calculations; Diffraction analysis; Analysis of metocean data; Compiling basis of design for analysis; Workability studies for offshore operations Manage physical Model Testing Programmes. ensures adequate communication with clients and other internally and externally project stakeholders. Lead and coach the Hydrodynamic Engineers.

Educational background HTS/TU in (Mechanical/Offshore Engineering & Dredging Engineering); Experience / Knowledge Minimum 12-15 years of experience as Hydrodanymic Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry and/or experience in an equivalent function. Experience in a multidiscipline company will be a plus Knowledge of and Experience with AQWA, ORCAFLEX, PIAS is preferred
