1. WhatisBankIslamCardi? BankIslamCardi(BIC)istheShariahcompliantcreditcardofferedbyBankIslamto allow customer for optimal way to pay when enjoying meals at restaurants, during travellingabroad,etc.undertheconceptofTawarruq.

2. WhatistheShariahconceptapplicable? Tawarruq Concept: It is the purchase of a commodity (i.e. the subject matter of tawarruq) on deferred payment basis by way of either bai musawamah or bai murabahah. The commodity is then sold for cash (wariq) to a party other than the originalseller.

Overseas Transaction fee Rate is determined by MasterCard Worldwide/Visa Worldwide on the date the transactions are received and/or processed by the bank.

Periodoffinancingfixedfor3years c. Choice of card consists of Classic, Gold, Platinum and World Card based on your minimumannualincome.

4. WhatarethefeaturesofBIC? a. No annual fee subject to a minimum of 12 transactions per annum without defaultinminimummonthlypayment. b. Nocompoundingprofitcharges c. 20day finance chargefree period i.e. No profit charge on retail transactions for 20daysfromthetransactionsdate. d. FreeTakafulcoverageonoutstandingbalance. e. 0.3%cashrebateonretailtransactions. f. Lowcashwithdrawalfee. g. 40%discountonwillwritingfeewithAmanahRayaBerhad

7. WhatifIfailtofulfillmyobligations? a. ImpositionofTawidhorLatePaymentCompensation HandlingFeeaspermitted by Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia 1% on the outstanding balance or a minimum of RM5.00, whichever is higher, and capped to a maximumofRM50.00. b. BanksRighttosetoffintheeventofdefault,theBank,upon7daysnotification to Cardmember, may setoff any credit balance in the customers deposit account(s)againstanydebitbalanceintheBICaccount. c. Failure to commit to the minimum monthly payment will result in imposition of Tawidhandinabilitytoenjoythelowesttieredpricingi.e.13.5%.,viceversa.

5. Whataremyobligations? a. Customer is obliged to pay the minimum monthly payment i.e. 5% of the outstanding balance or a minimum of RM50.00 (whichever is higher) until full settlement of the outstanding balance. Should the financing tenure extended beyond the retirement age, the customer is still obliged to pay the minimum monthly payment of outstanding balance.However, the customer may opt at anytimetofullysettletheoutstandingbalance. b. Abidebythetermsandconditionsfortheuseofcard. c. SafeguardthecardandPersonalIdentificationNumber(PIN). d. Report lost card, theft, and disclosure of PIN to an unauthorized person or unauthorizeduseofthecardtoBankIslamwithoutunduedelay. e. Usethecardresponsibly,includingnotusingthecardforunlawfulactivity. f. Check the monthly statement and report any discrepancy to Bank Islam without unduedelay.

CashviaCashDepositMachineoranyBankIslamCounter. e. Cheques Mail to Bank Islam Card Centre or drop at Bank Islam Cheque Deposit Machine. f. InterbankGIROfacilitiesthroughotherbanksdepositaccounts.

9. Whatarethemajorrisks? If you are paying minimum monthly payment, the profit charge and time taken to settletheoutstandingbalancewillincrease.Payinginfullbytheduedatewillavoid impositionofprofitchargeandTawidh.
