A church with open arms, loving hearts, and a desire to bring glory to god

This Week: Sunday, August 18, 2013

Joshua 3 records the chosen people of God crossing the Jordan River. I invite you to pray over the chapter and prepare your heart. The Bible has much to teach about waters, including New Testament passages that speak about water baptism which symbolizes crossing over from death to life.

Message from Pastor Reid

Pressed, Shaped, Molded by the Lord!
One of the major prophets of the Old Testament is Jeremiah. He was born into a family of priests. Priests means access to God. He was used by God to bring a warning to the people of Judah. He preached judgment for the sins of the people, but the warnings were not heeded. Jeremiah in turned cried out to God, seeking to understand why he had to be a prophet (references in Jeremiah are 11:18 -12:6; 15:10-21, 17:14-18). In the midst of the struggle God brought him to a potters house Jeremiah 18:1-6. Verse 6 includes these words, like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand. Could the witness of Faith Christian Church in the community be the result of being reshaped by the Lord? I believe so! Is reshaping an easy process? Oh no! Spinning, being pressed, shaped, molded, and then placed in the furnace is anything but comfortable. But the great news is that during the whole process we are in the hands of the God who made us!! I give God thanks for the opportunity to serve at Faith Christian Church. As He continues to shape and mold us as a body of believers I encourage you to keep your focus on our Lord. Gods blessings! Pastor Reid
