Subject: RE: For your review - Dan Benjamin's Interview Letter

Marquitta/Mike:

Benjamin speaks to a number issues touching on terrorist financing; I can give you specific questions regarding
NSC/interagency coordination as well as the overall priority of terrorist financing in the CT efforts. Whether that
needs to be in the letter I will leave to you, but we would ultimately like to participate in the questioning (or give
you the questions to ask). Thanks.

Subject: For your review - Dan Benjamin's Interview Letter

All:

Attached please find a draft letter for Dan Benjamin, one of B-list interviews. Team 3
has the pen on this letter, but the FO may want to attend. We'd be grateful if you'd
check the following letter to make sure that your team's equities are covered; if you'd
like to add language, please send us your suggestions ASAP and we'll be glad to add it.
The FO is eager to get this letter out.

Many thanks,

Marquittia

Subject: Tier B letters

Herewith, topic sentences for my outstanding B-list names.

Sorry to be under the gun on this—the perils of a week spent slogging at NEOB.
I'd be grateful if you'd add the appropriate addresses, and, by the magic of
cutting and pasting, whip these up as letters...

Once they're ready, please circulate as follows:

all of them to Mike
the Libby draft to Dana Hyde
the Benjamin draft to Doug, Kevin Scheid, and John Roth
the Beers draft to Doug, Kevin, John Roth, and Susan G.

Circulated drafts should have a cover note saying something like: "Attached
please find a draft letter for TK, one of B-list interviews. Team 3 has the pen
on these letters, but the Front Office may want to attend. We'd be grateful if
you'd check these letters to make sure that your Team's equities are covered;
if you'd like to add language, please send us your suggestions ASAP and we'll
be glad to add it. The Front Office is eager to get these out. Many thanks,"
etc.

In all these letters, Mike should be the POC--so that they can call and set
something up over the next few weeks while I'm out (until Nov. 17).

Once everyone's OKed the drafts, let's send 'em forward to the FO. If it's
after Weds and I'm already on the road, please ask Mike if you have any
questions.
