[ROM] [MOD]XOLO Nexus V2- For Xolo Q800/Fly IQ446/Gionee gn708w/Symphony w125
Hello guys, Honestly i dont know much about making roms. I tried many roms from here and also from different russian forums. It seems to me that the ported roms needs a bit furnishing. So i decided to furnish one of those according to my choice. After trying various methods, finally i was able to furnish it. As i m a fan of Android Vanilla UI, i decided to share my mod. So Let me present to u- XOLO Nexus Rom.
Rom HighlightBased on Zopo Zp810 firmware. Android 4.2.1 Multilanguage support. Android 4.2 camera with working Photosphere Nexus Boot animation Nexus Styled UI Add blocker installed. Debloated.
Changelog1. Initial Release 2. Stock Nexus 4.2 camera added. 3. Removed unnecessary and buggy apps.

Bugs- No major Bugs. Just noticed Google Chrome fc's and showing some incompatibility issue. I used older version which doesnt support 4.2. Just update the app from
playstore and u r good to go.
Instruction for flashing1. Enter into recovery 2. From recovery take a backup just incase. Then wipe Data/Factory reset, Wipe cache and dalvic cache. You can also format System from advanced menu. 3. Now, flash the zip. When flashing is completed, wipe cache again. 4. Reboot. Rom with more optimization and some awesome tweaks with all the bugs fixed coming soon.

XOLO Nexus V2
Changed Base rom, used Alternative V4 as base ported by back 37. thanks to him. Rom is slick and light. Super smooth. Removed all the third party app from V1. Replaced Google Play music with Stock Nexus player.

Added Apollo player from CM10.1 Added CyanogenMod file explorer from CM10.1 Unlocked all options on Developers settings. Full dark framework, no more transparency. Weather on lock screen. Dialer with call recording option built in. init.d support. PureAudioMod for better sound experience. Use it with apollo. ....thats what i remember. Will provide some addons, tweak script later. TUT, Tweaks and Addons
Those who are using Symphony w125, plz note the following-1. Though its similar to Xolo Q800 it's partition block is kinda different than Xolo. 2. If u want to root ur devie, then follow the rooting tutorial from AndroidKothon web page but do not flash custom recovery from there. Yes i repeat do not flash custom recovery from there. If u do then, u will end up loosing ur recovery and custom recovery also wont be flashed. 3. For Custom Clock Work Mod recovery follow steps from here- http://www.techtunes.com.bd/android/tune-id/210603 4. Those who have already lost their recovery can also flash the CWM from the above link. It will solve the issue. 5. Now comes the big part. Flashing custom roms from Stock symphony rom with CWM will not be successful. Instead u will Stuck with the bootlogo. So if u want to try custom roms from stock, then just forget it. 6. However, if u r an advanced user and dont care/worry about loosing warranty, bricking ur phones then u can use custom rom by the following way------ First follow this thread and flash the Stock rom of Fly mobile http://androidjugaad.com/showthread.php?tid=1313 -----After flashing the above rom, ur phone will look like Fly IQ446, dont worry. Now root the device using this thread http://androidjugaad.com/showthread.php?tid=127 -----Now u will have root access and Custom recovery. and you are ready to go for Custom roms. 7. Enjoy Custom roms on w125. Plz, be noted that once u are in this, u are not able to back to symphony stock rom for quite sometime as Original Stock rom is not available yet. You will loose ur warranty too. And lastly neither i m nor, AndroidKothon holds any responsibility about what happened to ur phone after trying these. Happy androiding Fellas. Addons and Tweaks 1. For better Ram management use Fly On Mod by Slaid480. Special thanks to him. Seems rom supports init.d, its very easy to use the MOD. For proper utilization of PureAudio Mod, u dont need to use any other equalizer, just disable Music FX(stock equalizer) and use Apollo. u will have a nice audio experience. However, if u feel the need of more bass, then download Noozoxide from playstore. Use it as difault equalizer, u will have bass and more pleasant audio experience. Stock camera Download linkhttp://d-h.st/yUp Since some people are not satisfied with nexus camera and requested for stock one here is the stock camera. U need to mod camera manually. Follow the instruction properly1. Use root explorer to gain access to system/app folder. from there just Delete these two files- GalleryGoogle.apk and GmsCore.apk and Push the files Gallery2.apk,Gallery2.odex, GmsCore.apk from downloaded from folder and set permission as rw-r-r 2. Now edit the built.prop with text editor and rename to following as ro.product.model= XOLO Q800 ro.product.brand=XOLO now save the prop file. 3. Enter into lib folder and remove the followings- libjni_filtershow_filters.so, libjni_mosaic.so and liblightcycle.so 4. Now exit and reboot ur phone into recovery. From recovery fix permission and then reboot again. u will have stock camera now. Current Device-

Great! Appreciate Your Work!. but..just a few stuff we'd like a complete vanilla or stock jb 4.2 features/looks/apps NEXUS doesnt use APEX.. it uses Google's launcher .. Change That (apex may be better, but still no) we need a complete nexus 4 feel The Settings App In the NEXUS has a black or default JB background, not some wallpaper like in ur screenshot Im using ultimate v2 which scores about 13,000 on antutu, what about this? nd does it have any audio lag problem in games like Most wanted like stock q800 also does this have the full developer options like on nexus 4.. under settings i mean, stuff like force gpu rendering etc (ultimate v2 doesnt have it) nexus 4 allows expanding statusbar from lock screen does this?.. (ultimate v2 messed this up) is the dialer, gallery, contacts, .. same as in Nexus 4?. i mean are they stock vanilla apps?. CMON man complete nexus 4/stock jb 4.2 vanilla feel please
Thanks for ur opinion. Actually its my first cook. and i m searching for the resources to have it look like pure vanilla nexus. i have also discussed this matter with some pals. but it seems there are not so many people at this moment willing to work on it. Besides the resources to make a complete nexus like rom is limited too. and i m not a dev. just a rom cooker. i have been asking devs for their help regarding this matter. Since its MTK 6589, its really very hard to have compile even if u have complete sets or rersources. I had a talk with Brajesh, and i m a big fan of his work. Ultimate V2 is very good rom. thanks for pointing me out the issues, i will try to do my best that is within my reach. and for the benchmark, i checked Antutu and Quadrant, on first run it scored 13111 on antutu and almost 4000 on quadrant, something like 3983. next time when i did intalled some apps antutu scored 13093. and this rom has no sound issue like xolo stock rom. if u have some source of Nexus goodies like phone app and the other things u mentioned plz pm me. i will try to include them in next version. and yes its a ported rom, and thats why its hard to have complete nexus feel. if there were any way to built it from source, it would have been much easier. altough currently the kernel source is out, but it still lacks some vital files that is required to have fully functional custom kernel. Untill then, i dont see any hope for USB OTG. and next version will be a bare bone one, i will not include any 3rd party app on it. one last thing mate, if u know a very good themer who is willing to work for our device, plz ask him to Join our group on facebook. hey, firstly im glad u bothered to reply, just um taking care of the stuff in BOLD letters, woulda been enough, yeah i now its a mt6589 and making/porting aint easy, i tried pushing nexus 4 system apps, such as phone and contacts into our phones, but. dint really work out, i think its proly because of the different hardware relating to dual sim functionality, however u could try this, holo launcher is free and looks more stock than all other launchers, we already use the normal android 4.2 icons so those look stock, a black background for settings and other system apps, and no third party apps on a fresh ROM, these few stuff would give ur ROM a proper 4.2 stock vanilla look. im not a developer but i believe u can somehow give access to the developer options in settings... like force rendering en all. i already see ur half way there, there are pie controls in ur browser, there the nexus 4.2 camera, also. if u havent already included, throw the stock keyboard away replace with the actual 4.2 keyboard with gesture input http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1964663 .. for audio make sure the phone sounds as good as ultimate v2 rom, the acid audio engine and some tweaks in the engineering mode helps increase volume also its easy to use Cyanogen Mod's Player, their file manager also in-cooperates holo theming and looks really stock.. all of these u can get from xda pages. i could help with links if u want, for theming, could be clear of what sort u want, cause we already have a vanilla looking status bar, notifications, icons n stuff.. i mean our framework is already vanilla themed. nexus 4 wallpapers, roms, are all over the internet in case u need em for anything, with ur current ROM, and with the stuff above.. WERE NEARLY THERE. stock JB 4.2 clean NEXUS experience thanks to u luv ur work , thanks for the ROM mate

Thank u for the encouragement bro. i have gathered some of the required resources. i just need to change the bakcground settings to black like brajesh's rom. His base rom is also very good, but i preferred this base because of multilanguage support and ofcourse it doesnt show the ugly 'G' mark. now come to the point. if u have anything in mind u want me to include in it, u can give me a list and it will be great if u provide the link also. next version, i will be using 2 launchers, Stock Google launcher and Holo launcher. so that users can choose. i also tried to push the dialer and phone apks into the system, but it force closes. i dont know how to fix this. may be its beacuse this rom is still deodexed. and about the music player, i m planning to use stock android music player and also i dont know why u liked Cyanogen file manager. btw, i will look into it. JB 4.2 Camera With Photosphere (and gallery) 10.Init.d Support 11.Smooth Gameplay in games like Temple Run OZ and subway surfers (sucks in ultimate v2,.. stock was good) 12. For File Manager add..Es File Explorer v3.0.4 FREE from google play (Has Everything U Can Demand From A File Explorer And Looks Stock) 13.Make Sure Dialer Has Quick Dialing.. as in for calling "DAD" i can simply dial 323 (like T9 Search) (Ultimate v2 dialer isnt any good) 14.Do not include CHROME or any heave gapps.. users can download em 15.Stock static XOLO bootscreen no ugly animations like in ultimate v2. 16.Android 4.2 keyboard with gesture input .. link ive pasted in previous post

\\ This account's public links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled! i tried back37's alternate ROM myself, ... but GPS doesnt get a lock .. so cant use navigation .. please fix that...also u havent mentioned android version?.. games like subway surfers and temple run 2 run smoother on android 4.1 ROM.. but camera and multitasking, notifcation/statusbar shorcut controls are better on 4.2 so curious. please add mirror, i want to download this rightaway ... bdw.. thanks for adding lockscreen weather, developer options, engineering mode shortcut, and dark and clean ui! luv ur work thanks a lot man! add a mirror aurite?
