February, 19^2
Dear i^iends in Christ,

These are busy days. Along with the regular every day activities of a normal house hold, we have thrown in more traveling, school, preparation for returning to Korea with an occasional cold and bout with flu thrown in. The children are all doing real well in school. This semester Joe is only taking 2 courses: Visitation Evan gelism and Theology of the Restoration Movement. I am limiting myself to a second
semester of chalk art.

Other dates during this period are yet to be confirmod. We have been praying mich" concerning our future plans and needs. We want to share some of these with you at this time. '.7ill you please consider this need in prayer and let us

hear from you regarding your decision.

We recently purchased a Volkswagen suitable for use in Korea. It is a I96O Model and we owe a balance of $700 on it, which must be paid before we leave for Korea.

We need ftinds for our tickets back to Korea,

Since our 2 oldest children plan to

stay in the States for a year, this amount will be ijl6'4'2.00.

Perhaps the most difficult decision for us to make is that of leaving Bonnie and Tom In the states for a year. We have discussed this matter with many of our friends and our family has weighed the situation pro and con. As our plans now stand, we plan to leave for Pusan, Korea about the first part of July and will remain in Pusan
for one year while the Ellis family is home on furlough. Since there is no American high school in Pusan, we had planned to send the children away to boarding school.
After thinking it over, we all felt that it would be easier for the children to be

here in Lincoln near our family and their friends than to be av;ay in a boarding school. As son as the school year is over (May, 19^3) they would return to Korea

Dear Friends in Christ, Our plans are shaping up rapidly. We are to leave this area about the 2nd or 3rd of July. We vdll drive to the coast where we will dispose of our Plymouth station wagon and make arrangements to ship our Volkswagen to Korea. The whole family will be
with us as we travel to the coast. This will be the first opportunity we've had to be alone together without a busy schedule facing us. We're looking forward to these weeks together in July as we travel west, Bonnie and Tom will return from the coast to Linc oln, Illinois, where they will enter school once again this fall. Vie know they will be in good hands with the Sloniger and Goodman families. They will join us about ten mont
