Background
Welcome aboard, Commander. I am Sergeant Bowman of the United Earth Empire. I will be your intelligence adviser throughout this campaign. First, let me give you some background. As you know, the Antimatter War has left Earth ruined. All of the continents have been dissolved into thousands of tiny islands and the cities have washed into the oceans. Whats left of civilization is scattered across the islands, or in outer space. Over the years, we on Earth have banded together for common defense and trade to form The United Earth Empire. We eventually lost direct contact with the Satellite Colonies. They have had their own series of wars and alliances over the years. A few years ago. a blood-thirsty dictator, calling himself Zorgeuf the Great, emerged to unite the Colonies. Although we have little information about Zorgeuf directly, we know that he has been ruthless in his quest for power. Recently, he has made landings on Earth and has set up several small, but well defended, bases around the globe.

Your Mission
Heres where you come in. You must stop Zorgeuf the Great before he takes over the world. His commanders are cunning, but you must outsmart them. You must destroy his bases, one island at a time, before he destroys yours. At your disposal are the most advanced weapons systems available in the twenty-third century. From your Command Center, you will control missiles, gun pods, interceptor missiles, and. of course, Metal Marines. Always remember that Zorgeuf the Great has the same weapons and will use them without prejudice. During the campaign, you will learn to control logistics to ensure that you have the necessary assets to wage war. You may build factories and

energy plants to improve your position. You may build interceptor radar and lay mine fields to improve your defenses. You may even build your own antimatter weapon and carry the battle beyond conventional warfare. Throughout the campaign, however, your primary asset will always be your Metal Marines. These fifty foot tall fighting machines destroy anything that gets in their way. Depend on them for every battle you wage. Your mission, Commander, is to destroy Zorgeuf the Great, and save the Earth. Good luck!
