INTERPRETATIONS
New official interpretations to the following standards are now available on the ASHRAE website at: http://www.ashrae.org/standards-interpretations.

ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170-2008, Ventilation of Health Care Facilities Interpretation 170-2008-6, approved June 25, 2013, refers to the requirements in ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170-2008, Section 7.1.1b, regarding ventilation rates in spaces other than those found in Table 7-1. Interpretation 170-2008-7 approved June 25, 2013, refers to the requirements in ANSI/ASHRAE/ASHE Standard 170-2008, Section 7.1.1b and Table 7-1, regarding ventilation rates for Examination rooms.

ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/IES Standard 189.1-2011,


Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings Interpretation 189.1-2011-1, dated June 26, 2013, refers to the requirements presented in ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/ IES Standard 189.1-2011, Sections 7.4.3.1.b.2, 7.4.5.1 and 7.5.4, relating to reducing building project electrical peak loads.
