These fact ors include the patient's subjective need for treatment urgency, the patient's p ersonal and family history, the patient's frequency and severity of attacks, the patient's concurrent medical conditions, the patient's concurrent medications, the patient's co-morbid psychiatric conditions, the patient's attitude toward me dication, the patient's use of OTC medications and substances of abuse, and the amount of lifestyle disruption the patient can tolerate.
