Today at 12:30 p.m. the Keys resume last night s suspended game against Potomac before completing their season with their regularly scheduled nine-inning contest against the P-Nats. A downpour in the bottom of the sixth halted last night s game in the bottom of the sixth with Frederick trailing 4-3. Before the suspension of play, Keys catcher Michael Ohlman took the lead in the Carolina League batting title race, going 1-for-2 with an RBI single to improve his batting average to .313. He was then pulled for a pinch-hitter. Tim Berry starts todays scheduled game for the Keys against Potomacs Brett Mooneyham. TITLES UP FOR GRABS: At .313, Keys catcher Michael Ohlman leads former PNat Billy Burns for the Carolina League batting crown with a game to play. Ohlman was pinch-hit for after his second at-bat in Sundays suspended game. Burns has been promoted to Double-A Harrisburg. If Ohlman holds on, he would be the first Key to win the batting crown since Robert Widlansky hit .340 in 2009. Ohlman also leads the league in slugging (.524), leading Carolina s Joey Wendle by 11 points. The last Key to win the slugging title was Brandon Waring (.520) in 2009, which set the Keys single-season slugging record. RUDY ON THE RUN: Former Keys outfielder Johnny Ruettiger stole his 43rd base of the season Wednesday, putting him third in the Carolina League, six ahead of Lynchburgs Matt Lipka. Ruettiger was promoted to Double-A Bowie on Friday. His 43 swipes are the second-most for a Key since the 1994 season, when Harry Berrios stole 42 bases and Kimera Bartee stole 44. Fredericks single -season steals record belongs to Tim Raines Jr., who stole 81 bases in 2000. Barring a return from Bowie this weekend, Ruettiger will finish with the seventh-most steals in a season in Keys history.
