In this task, we decided to compare our microteaching with Mithraroobinis group.

The three aspects that we are going to point out are the relevance of materials,. i. Relevance of materials

According to our observation, students get more stimulated because the learning aids help them to become more attentive. This applied to both group. As for my group, we were doing microteaching for standard 3. The focus was on writing and constructing simple sentences. Meanwhile the other group was doing microteaching for standard 2 which was also focusing on writing and to write using appropriate language, form and style for a range of purposes. We started off our set induction by using picture cards of animals. The animals are cows, toads, birds, ducks and snakes. We were using this so that it arouses their interests. Pupils would get anxious and develop a learning habit when the teaching method or medium appear real to them and are not abstract. The material helped us to present our lesson clearly and effectively and this in turn caught the attention of the pupils. The other group came out with a video clip of frogs as their starting induction for the lesson. We believe that they had succeeded in presenting a clear view of what was to be taught. It encouraged the pupils to learn well and it reduced the stress involved in the process of teaching and learning. Plus they were teaching standard 2 which made it much more appropriate due to the excitement and fun they gave from the video clip. Audio visual aids in the classroom enhance teaching methods and improve pupils comprehension. We agree with this because we noticed that pupils were actively involved and were able to answer our questions regarding the animals. Teaching materials help to get the attention of the students, makes the class more realistic and it gives a viewpoint or key point on the topic. Next, we distributed worksheets (tabulating data/information) to the students. This time they were instructed to transfer the earlier questions and answers session during the set induction. They managed to do it with little help from us. That defines the effectiveness of our set induction because pupils were stimulated in the lesson. Meanwhile the other group presented a manila card containing a story. They were doing reading aloud as well. We like the idea on how they presented the story but it can be time consuming since they were teaching standard 2 which means they have to be aware of correcting the learners mistakes when necessary. However, it was a success. The pupils

liked it and they enjoyed the reading session with their teachers. They were teaching punctuations using the story. Our group continued with our next activity using another worksheet. We believe that hands on practices are appropriate to train pupils in memorizing and constructing new products from what they have learnt. In this activity, pupils would have to construct simple sentences in groups. In the worksheet itself, we have provided them a clear guide on how to construct simple sentences. Again, we showed them the picture cards earlier to refresh their minds on how animals move. Different from us, the other group came out with paragraph strips this time. They were doing group activity and distributing the strips for the students to identify the punctuation errors made in the sentences. We have to agree that this material they used were such a great idea. Students were throwing questions and being curious yet interested throughout the lesson. As our closure we had an opened up question session to get to know how much the students had learned in that lesson. They were able to answer in a complete sentence which gave us a sense of relieve that the learning objective is fulfilled. We gave them task sheets to make sure they can apply the knowledge they gained throughout the lesson. For closure there was not much different in terms of concluding the lesson, but the other group was generously giving sweets as exterior triggering factor for the students to learn more next time. Pupils learn in different ways. Some are good in retaining information passed to them orally, while some others are extraordinarily good in retaining information through what they read and others through pictures and some other means. But generally, findings and statistics have shown that the best means of facilitating or enhancing good teaching and learning is through the use of instructional materials which encompass audio visual materials like radio, charts and projectors of various kinds.
