OBJECTIVE
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. To use the lathe machine and miling machine. To know the correct ways to turning workpiece. To identify the functions in the formation of an object you want to be produced. To identify the safety in lathe machine workshop. To use vernier calliper with correct and accurate manner.

SAFETY
1. Always listen carefully to the teacher and follow instructions. 2. Do not run in the workshop, you could bump into another pupil and cause an accident. 3. Know where the emergency stop buttons are positioned in the workshop. If you see an accident at the other side of the workshop you can use the emergency stop button to turn off all electrical power to machines. 4. Always wear an apron as it will protect your clothes and hold lose clothing such as ties in place. 5. Wear good strong shoes. training shoes are not suitable. 6. When attempting practical work all stools should be put away. 7. Bags should not be brought into a workshop as people can trip over them. 8. When learning how to use a machine, listen very carefully to all the instructions given by the teacher. Ask questions, especially if you do not fully understand. 9. Do not use a machine if you have not been shown how to operate it safely by the teacher. 10. Always be patient, never rush in the workshop. 11. Always use a guard when working on a machine. 12. Keep hands away from moving/rotating machinery. 13. Use hand tools carefully, keeping both hands behind the cutting edge. 14. Report any damage to machines/equipment as this could cause an accident.

PROCEDURE
1. Install the tool in the tool holder and make sure the tool is in perfect condition with supporters of the workpiece. 2. Attach the workpiece on the machine that has 3 jaws. 3. Start turning the face to the workpiece length to be 60 mm. 4. Attach the drill point center to make a center hole.Make a hole using a drill point to support the workpiece using a supporter of the workpiece. 5. Support the workpiece using a supporter of the workpiece. 6. Begin turning the side to be 48 mm width and 20 mm length. 7. Make a hole size of 36 mm using a drill points with radius 16 mm. Drill up to 15 mm. 8. Boring the hole to get the depth is 15 mm.. 9. Spray the surface in the middle of his back and neatly angled 900 . 10. Make the mid line with angle 900 with use height screw gauge. 11. Sized circle 15 mm in radius using a compasses. 12. Make a point with usecenter point on the circle punch in contact with the center line. 13. Attach the workpiece 4 jaw lathe machine.Make sure that the spray surface in front 14. Install the tool in the tool holder and make sure the tool is in perfect condition with supporters of the workpiece. 15. Start turning edges up to 30 mm width and 40 mm length. 16. Make 4 mm groove width and depth of 26 mm. The distance between the groove of the front surface of the workpiece is 6 mm. 17. Install the tool with radius 3 mm. 18. Run up to be a radius of 3 mm. 19. Perform the angled chamfers on the front surface 450. 20. .Attach the workpiece 3 jaw lathe machine and do chamferangles of 450.

Conclusion
For 5 weeks in the workshop to operate a lathe machine and lathe machine to produce a project from mid steel bar is a pretty valuable experience. Too many new things that we have learned as a result of the guidance of the lecturer. We have learned how to operate the machine spindle lathes 3 spindle and milling machine correctly and know every part of the machine. Operate lathe machine and miling machine requires very high level of prudence in order to produce a neat project. In addition, security measures should be emphasized that there are no accidents happen all the do the job. Cooperation from colleagues enable us to produce a project successfully despite the imperfections on the work. But we still satisfied because with only very little experience, we are able to complete the project within the time frame given.

DISCUSSION
After review, the work done is not satisfactory switch. There are some imperfections in the work. Among the problems are: less accurate measurements

scale, measuring work will also be undertaken. So precautions are important when measuring workpiece. work surface less and less evenly balanced

necessary. To get the best results, compound rest should be moved slowly.

RECOMMENDATION
Every act of turning to be done with great care to obtain the best results and perfect and avoid things that are not desirable. We need to know how to properly use a lathe machine and milling machine. To obtain a neat work and not jagged, turning the workpiece must be done slowly and carefully. Each time the spindle is stopped, push the roof was on spindle. This is important to prevent re-spindle spinning when we pressed the switch by accident. We must always ensure that the workpiece spindle tied tightly in order to avoid a thrown workpiece during spindle from rotating.
