New Poll Shows Dan Patrick Surging in a Two-Man Race HOUSTON Texas State Senator Dan Patrick, authentic conservative candidate for Lieutenant Governor, released the results of an internal poll today. The poll, conducted by The Wickers Group September 7-9, bear out what political observers are seeing across Texas. Lieutenant Governor Dewhursts re-elect score has taken a major hit since our May survey, said Mr. Wickers. For the first time ever Dewhursts re-elect is upside down among GOP primary voters and nearly a majority say its time to give someone new a chance. New polling results confirm support for David Dewhurst has collapsed over the summer and Dan Patrick is building support in a two-man race for Lieutenant Governor. The poll, conducted by the Wickers Group, revealed dramatic results outlined in a memo by pollster Bob Wickers (attached). These results show what I am seeing at events across the state, said Dan Patrick. The voters are ready for new authentic conservative leadership in the Texas Senate and I am their candidate. ###

TWG fielded a statewide survey September 7-9, 2013 among 400 likely voters in Texas. Respondents were selected using random digit dialing from sample and were qualified by being registered and considered likely to vote in the 2014 Republican primary election for Lieutenant Governor. Live telephone interviews were conducted and both landline and mobile telephones were included in the studys sample. Margin of error: +/- 4.5%.
