FOREWORD Standard (Part 2) (Third Revision) which is identical with ISO 4027:2003 Hexagon socket with cone point issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Bolts, Nuts and Fasteners Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Instruments, General and Prod Iction Division Council. revised in 1971 and 198 . The

The original version of this standard was issued in 1963 subsequently second revision was based on the following ISO Standards: ISO ISO ISO ISO 4026:1983 4027:1983 4028:1983 4029:1983 Hexagon Hexagon Hexagon Hexagon socket socket socket socket set set set set screws screws screws screws with with with with flat point cone point dog point cup point

This third revision has been revised by splitting it into four parts harmonizing with ISO 4026:2003, ISO 4028:2003 and ISO 4029:2003 respectively by adopting them under dual ISO 4027 :2003, number. This Part 2 has been harmonized with ISO 4027:2003 developments taken place at international level. The other three parts of this standard are: Part 1 Part 3 Part 4 With flat point (third revision) With dog point (third revision) With cup point (third revision) by adoption to make pace with the latest
