FEP/Level 5/Level 4 Directions: On the next page is a graphic organizer of the checks and balances of the US Government. Follow the following directions to fill it out completely. 1. In each box, list the primary function of each branch of the government. This information can be found in your reading. 2. On the lines connecting the boxes, list at least two examples on how the two branches check each others power. 3. In the space in the center, summarize how power is separated among the three branches of government and give a reason why separation of powers is important.
