Deanship section To provide the students with a thorough understanding of the principles of, and techniques used in engineering economical studies, equivalence and compound interest formula, feasibility studies, and the comparison and decision making between alternatives. This course will cover the concepts and techniques of engineering economy. More specifically, the course consists of three main parts: Part I: introduction to Engineering Economy. Part II: Interest formulas and equivalence Part III: Economic analysis of alternatives. Gerald J. Thuesen and W. J. Fabrycky, Engineering Economy, 9th Edition, Prentice Hall, 2001 - Sullivan, Wicks, and Luxhoj, Engineering Economy, 12th Edition. - Park, Fundamentals of Engineering Economics , 2004 The breakdown of the final grade of the class is: 1st Exam 25% nd 2 Exam 25% Final 50% Total: 100% Prompt, regular attendance is necessary for the lecture, and the exams. There is no makeup for the First and Second exams, missing them will give you zero grade. Regarding the Final exam, according to the college rules its not allowed for the student to miss the final exam; the makeup will be given from a specialized committee on the college level and not from the class instructor for a special extreme, justified, and well-documented circumstances!!!
