State of the Lodge
Brothers of the Lodge,

I hope this newsletter finds everyone well and having a nice fall! We had a successful Alumni/ Parent Cocktail Party at the Lodge after the UNH game. It was a great opportunity for everyone to meet and get to know each other. I would like to thank all who were able to attend and I hope we can have even more Alumni and Parents at the next one. Speaking of which, I have been speaking to Mark Yeager Beta Delta81 who is organizing another Cocktail Party in honor of Paul Bruxelles Beta Delta 80. For those of you who do not know, Paul unfortunately passed away over a year ago after a long battle with liver cancer. We will be hosting a reunion of Chi Psis, along with members of Pauls family, from the era of 1975-1983 on Oct. 19 after the Georgetown game at the Lodge. There will be food and cocktails provided for all who attend. This Cocktail Party is open for any parents and Alumni not within that era as well. The more the merrier! Also, if you could help spread the word about this event, and send me an th email with an R.S.V.P. prior to Oct. 16 that would be a big help. The past September has been a huge success on the football field as well. We recently just beat UHN at Goodman Stadium. It was a big upset as we defeated the #7 team in the country. This victory helped us move up to the th #10/13 position in the FCS. October 5 we have an away game against the #12/13 Fordham Rams for our Patriot League opener. It will be a good game and we would love as much support from everyone as possible. Other games include Colombia, Georgetown, and Bucknell.

Undergraduate Spotlight: Brandon Bialkowski

Brother Brandon Bialkowski 14 has been an active and dedicated brother throughout his time here in Chi Psi. He was the previous #3. From Gilbert, Arizona, he excelled in academics and football at Gilbert high school. At Lehigh, Brandon is majoring in Psychology. Brother Bialkowski plans continuing his education after graduation by attending Dental school. He is the current starting quarterback for the team. And his success on the field has gotten the team off to a 4-0 start as well as breaking a 9 game losing streak to UNH. Over the past 4

games, he has recorded 1530 yard on 115 passes with 11 TDs. Brother Bialkowski has been named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the week for two consecutive weeks now. We are very proud of Brother Bialkowski and the entire Lehigh Football team and hope for future success.

New Facebook Page Undergraduate News/ Upcoming Events October 19, 2013- Family

There is a new Facebook page for parents and alumni. The Facebook page will be replacing the old website because the local website is no longer available through Lehigh. The page will be a tool that is utilized for Lodge updates, pictures from events and news for upcoming events. The Facebook page will also include information about accreditation and how stakeholders can help active Brothers in different Lodge event. Any Alumni or parent can post pictures or comment as they want. Search Beta Delta- Chi Psi and you should be able to find it.

New Twitter Account

There will be a new Twitter account for all stakeholders involved with Chi Psi going live in the coming weeks. The twitter account will be a great way for alumni and parents to receive immediate update about Chi Psi. The account will also post reminders about upcoming events that are discussed in the Monthly Newsletter.

P&E Account
The P&E account is a valuable asset to the current undergraduate Brothers. It allows us to use funds to partake in intellectual activities that will enhance the Chi Psi experience. The P&E account can be accessed at mylehigh.lehigh.edu/fraternity . We encourage alumni to continue to donate to the P&E account so we are able to have events in the future and allow future Brothers to truly experience what it means to be a Chi Psi Gentleman.

Program for Excellence
The Program for Excellence served as the cornerstone of last years Mid-Year Leadership Retreat (MYLR). The Program for Excellence is a program that presents new ideas on how to improve sorority relations and improving what it means to be Chi Psi Gentlemen. It features ideas such as speed dating, pig picking, golf outing events etc. An online version of the Program for Excellence is available at: www.chipsi.org/programforexcellence.

Accreditation
For our efforts last year, we received a Bronze accreditation rating. Brothers believed we should have received a high rating but, are content that we were not kicked of the hill. This year we are striving to go above and beyond last years rating and improve on events that were put into place last year.

Scholarship
We will be hosting the second annual Scholarship award cocktail at the Lodge during the spring semester. Brothers will be awarded monetary prizes for Overall Highest GPA, Most improved GPA, Highest GPA in each college and Most improved GPA in each college. This is made possible by the P&E account at Lehigh. The P&E account can be accessed at mylehigh.lehigh.edu/fraternity . We encourage alumni to continue to donate to the P&E account so we are able to have more events like this and future Brothers can experience what it truly means to be a Chi Psi Gentleman.
