In October all paths lead to the new moon in Scorpio on November 3. Now is the time for inner transformation, and if youre not getting on that bandwagon, then youre missing out. There is so much positively divine energy available from the cosmos. She is pouring her energy on this planet on a platter. Right before all the action begins, weve got a nice appetizer in the making: a full moon lunar eclipse in the sign of Aries on October 18. Every full moon is the nal product of whatever goals that were initiated on a new moon. The full moon tells you whether you were able to achieve

your goals or not. The new moon was in Aries on April 10. Think back to that time period this year. What were you doing then? Aries is the I am in all of us. Look at your natal chart and ask yourself What house is my Aries in? Lets say it is in your 10th house of public image, career, and authority. You would then reect on whether or not you had a goal in mind to improve this area of your life starting on or after April 10. Again, it all depends what house Aries is in that determines how Aries plays a part in your life. A lunar eclipse always happens during a full moon.

Think of an eclipse as a supercharged full moon. All manner of dynamic insight and intuition is magnied during a lunar eclipse. During this lunar eclipse, the theme of the I versus other is prominent. On October 18, review how you emotionally respond in relationships. The sun is in the sign of Libra until October 23. Utilize the diplomatic energy of the sun in Libra to better understand this lunar eclipse. How can you be both assertive and diplomatic to improve your relationships with others?

The day after the lunar eclipse, the heavens will form a grand earth trine on October 19. At this point I know youre thinking Okay, April, what exactly is a trine anyway? I thought youd never ask! A trine is formed when two planets intersect at an angle of 120 degrees. A grand trine has three 120 degree angles all connected to form an equilateral triangle in the sky. A trine is considered a harmonious conguration in astrology. This grand earth trine is a powerful combination of three planetary bodies: the South Node in Taurus, Mars in Virgo, and Pluto in Capricorn. The South Node represents past behaviors and mindsets, Mars is all about drive, ambition, and self-interests, and Pluto relates to power and transformation. The earthiness of Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, symbolize aesthetics, wealth, discrimination, humility, and wisdom. Thats a powerful combination. These elements for success are not reserved for the few, but for everyone. When we watch t.v. or browse the internet, we see images of these earthy traits. However, what we see is not as easy as it seems. Most people do not inherit wealth. It takes real inner drive and change from the inside out to build a fortune. Just like you did for the sign of Aries, take a look at your natal chart and discover what houses Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are in. The houses will show you where your wealth and stability is. This earth grand trine will last between October 19 to November 6. The trine will, in effect, help release any difculties you have had regarding the accumulation of assets and creating a foundation of wealth for yourself and your loved ones. Youll have

plenty of time between now and October 19 to take a look at your natal chart and learn where your earth houses are located. The only stumbling block in your way between now and the new moon is when Mercury goes retrograde two days later on October 21. When a planet goes retrograde, it just means that it appears to go backwards in orbit in the sky. What is really happening, is that its orbit around the sun slows down and our orbit progresses; thus, it appears to be going backwards or retrograde in motion. When Mercury goes retrograde, it is a glitchy time when communication of all sorts goes haywire. Dont be surprised if for some reason people get confused about what you are trying to convey, even it is well intended, because this is very typical when Mercury goes retrograde. A positive way to cope is to use this energy to reect. The tendency is to not reect, but if you do, it will be double its potency. This is actually the perfect energy needed to prepare for the new moon, because it is in the sign of Scorpio. So dont let some communication barriers get the best of you. Mercury will go direct and cease its slow movement on November 11. I cannot stress enough the importance of the grand earth trine. This will assuredly prepare you for the new moon in Scorpio. The theme of this time period is the Taurus / Scorpio axis in which one builds a strong foundation in order to be prepared to for inner transformation that leads to empowerment.
