Beal Update September 2013

Dear Subscriber, Fall is here and the dark-dreary-gray-foggy-misty-rainy days have begun! After a while, you almost start to wish for snow just to break the monotonyalmost! Our family has finally settled into our fall routine and is busy keeping up with ministry, home schooling and shuttling two teens to lessons and tutoring almost every day. The Days are in the States for family responsibilities for a couple months and Denise Hutchinson is also in the States looking after her parents. This is when we all feel the tremendous blessing of having a team ministry. Joshua and Jessie are keeping up with the correspondence ministry which has been a challenge to say the least! We have over 600 students to keep track of, not to mention the requests that come in for other Bible literature that we offer as part of our correspondence course. In preparation for writing this update we ran the number of new students that have enrolled. We were overwhelmed to find that just since September 16th, the Lord has added 39 new students to our rosters! Praise God, no wonder were busy!! We are also excited to report that one of the Gospel preaching churches here in Lviv is

using our correspondence material to disciple their church members. They are currently teaching their own members the lessons and then plan to start small group Bible studies in their members respective communities. Needless to say we are thrilled! There is another church here in Lviv that is also in the process of implementing the use of our material for evangelism and discipleship. Joshua has spent several hours training one of their pastors on the use of the Correspondence Bible Course. This is a HUGE answer to a longstanding prayer request. For several years now, our vision has been for Ukrainian churches to implement the CBC material, thereby multiplying our efforts exponentially. It is amazing when we look back at the hours, months, and literally years of work that went into this course and now God has allowed us to see our long term vision coming to passwow! The attendance at English-Bible Club has been down lately. Weve contacted some of our regulars and they are going through job and school scheduling changes. We are praying about increasing the attendance, please pray with us! The men on our staff meet once a week to pray for our families, ministry, other missionaries and their ministries, and for the government of both countries that we call home, the USA and Ukraine. Recently, we have been made even more aware that we have more freedom here in Ukraine to do religious work than we would if we were living in the US. Our hearts are heavy for our home country. Having said that, our first and foremost prayer request is for our country. Please pray for the American people to wake up and see the truth of what is taking place in America. After living in a socialist country for 14 years, it is certainly no mystery to us. Please also pray that the Ukrainian government will allow us to remain here as ambassadors for Christ. The registration laws have changed again, this time seemingly in our favor! However we do have a few things to iron out, Cassia and Alexandria need new passports this at the beginning of 2014 and we have quite a few details to work out concerning their documentation. Please pray for our financial support, and I dont ask this lightly. With the financial strains in the USA right now, our support was very low last month. Please pray for our 600 plus students to understand the word of God and to be saved. Please pray also for the churches that are now implementing the correspondence course. Please pray for the health of our family, the Steeles family, the Days family and for Denise Hutchinson. Please pray for Denises mom as she is facing surgery soon. Finally, the Lord has allowed us to get some much needed work done on the house, we have had an unresolved leak that has damaged some walls upstairstwice. I believe this

situation has finally been fixed. We have just a few more things that need doing before the cold sets in and are praying that God would bless us with just a week or two more of good weather. Please pray with us. Brethren, we certainly are living in perilous times. With so many in need, so much to do and so little time I was blessed today to read a young ladys blog about Jesus feeding the 5,000. The disciples offering of the fish and bread was completely inadequate. But did Jesus turn them away? No. Jesus said, Bring them hither to me. And when the disciples gave what little they had to Jesus, he blessed their offering, and there was enough and more besides; a great lesson that I needed today. When our offering is not enough, take it to Jesus. As always, we thank you for your faithful prayers and support.
