Should you be elected, what are three specific areas youd like to change, address,
improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it?: __In general, I
would increase the overall rigor at every level, especially reading, math and science. I
would like to see more Advanced Placement classes. Although our district participates
in the Excel T.E.C.C. program at Mayfield High School, and some students take
advantage of the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEOP) at Cuyahoga
Community College or Lakeland Community College, there are parents that would
prefer to have their children receive high quality, college-level classes without leaving
the Richmond Heights Secondary School campus. I would also like to see
improvement of our physical facilities. This would need to be attempted with
community input, as it will take ongoing long-term planning for the future. Our
schools impact our property values and all aspects of our community. In order to
maintain a vibrant, diverse community, we must attract new families to Richmond

Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you? ___We
have lived in Richmond Heights since 2002, and our 3 children attend Richmond
Heights Local Schools. We were attracted to the diversity and small size of the district.
As an Educator, I am passionate about education, and value extracurricular activities
as well. I was blessed to receive an excellent public education, which enabled me to
pursue any career I desired. I have watched our district struggle through many
changes and administrations. I received encouragement from my children's teachers
in the past to run for the school board and now have the opportunity to do so. I would
like to see our district become excellent in every category in order to make our
schools attractive to new families as well as families already here. Our district needs
long- term vision and I would like to contribute to the continuing growth and
development of our district. I believe that I will have intelligent, thoughtful
contributions to make to the School Board. If elected, I will decline any compensation
for my service to the School Board, as I believe those funds are better utilized for the
education of the children of Richmond
