Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their Picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

It is not enough to hear God speak to us; we must learn to obey what we hear Him say.

I Samuel 3:9, So he said to Samuelsay, Yes, Lord your servant is listening.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastors Ron and Hope. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

Whatsoever things are true and honest, just, pure, lovely; whatsoever things are of a good report I will think on these things. Philippians 4:8 I will not be conformed to this world but I will be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Romans 12:2 God is a spirit and I must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

The feelings God gives us in our spirits, can be like traffic lights. The three different colors help us to see some of the ways God speaks to us through feelings. Gods voice is seldom a real voice, but it is a feeling or idea we get in our spirits. The red light is like our conscience saying, Stop; it is an uncomfortable feeling. The green light feels peaceful and warm inside telling you, Go ahead. The yellow light warns us to slow down, be careful. It can cause us to have a big question mark or confusion. When you feel this way, talk to your parent or another adult you can trust. Samuel was a young boy when God spoke to him to warn him about his sons sins. At times God uses a feeling like Paul had in the middle of a ship voyage to warn and protect him. An uncomfortable feeling in our spirit might be God telling something is not right with someone like the slave girl who followed Paul and Silas; what she said was ok but she was up to no good. The feelings of our Holy Spirit are like our conscience telling us what is right or wrong.
